Stars

Hi Crafters,

Carrying on with my promise to post more often here is another card for today.

I've used this swirly star die to cut out the background card and placed glitter card behind. It looks like our little ballerina fairy is really doing some serious magic! I've used an LOTV art pad image again and just cut around her. The sentiment stamps are freebies from magazines.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Allsorts Challenge - #532/3 Sun, Moon and or Stars

Have a lovely day,

LOTV - James

        Hi Crafters,

Day two of my mission to get a blog post published and more cards shared here.
I hope you like my pink and girly creation.

Recipe:
LOTV Art Pad Image
Tonic Scalloped Oval Die
Lattice Flower Die
LOTV Sentiment Stamp
Star Brads

Challenges I'd like to enter:

I loved making this card and creating all the layers and details. The silver glitter swirls were the waste pieces from another die cut that I had kept hoping I could use them someday... and sure enough they came in handy for this card :o)
Does anyone else keep these little pieces or am I in the minority?

Hope to see you here again tomorrow.

As You Like It Challenge #82 - Favourite Die & WHY

Hi Crafters,

The new challenge at As You Like It is to use your Favourite Die - please tell us WHY it's your favourite to be eligible for the prize which is a £10 Voucher for Bunny Zoe's shop.

Well this was a no-brainer for me as I've had a favourite die for some time now and it's the fabulous floral oval die from Spellbinders. I find myself using this so many times on my cards as it's just the perfect size for my coloured images and fits nicely on to a 6 x 6 card but equally doesn't get lost on a larger card either.

I can't take credit for the whole design on this one as it was one of those days when Mr Mojo had left the building. I wanted a design that suited the age of the cards recipient and while trawling through the internet for inspiration I came across an awesome card by a bloggy friend.
Here is LUCY'S card.

This is my version...
I  found some papers in the LOTV collection that went with the Art Pad image and added some Joy Crafts corner and accent dies to the design along with some die cut numbers too.

Recipe
Image - LOTV Art Pad
Papers - LOTV
Dies - Spellbinders Floral Oval
Joy Crafts 6002/0135 & 6002/0148

Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts

Satin Ribbon
Pearls

Shabby Chic

Hi Crafters,

This is my second post for today, must be on a roll :)

I have made another card using these beautiful shabby/vintage papers from Michele R Designs. The theme on the papers is sewing so I went with that for the embellishments.

 Recipe
Papers - Michele R Designs - Sew Shabby
Sentiment -  LOTV ~Quotables Set 61
Recycled Lace
Crochet Flower
Paper Doily
Buttons
Twine
Pearl Trim

I distressed and inked the edges of the papers once I had printed them out to complete the shabby feel. Then I layered them up with the doily and lace trims to complete the look. I was given the beautiful crochet flower, I wish I could make these - I've tried and they turn out wonky :/ it's the only one I have but I had to use it here as it seemed perfect for the card.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Come & Get It - Buttons and Bows
Creative Moments - #76 Use A Sentiment
Fab n Funky - #272 Shabby Chic
NBUS Challenge - #5 ATG (New Quote Stamp) and Crochet Flower)
Deep Ocean - #112 Shabby Chic

I love these art pads for their versatility and ease of making some quick and beautiful cards. I also find that just adding my favourite two embellishments of organza ribbon and gems or pearls is all that is needed to finish it off, so these are my go to embellishments every time.

Our sponsor this time is

Megan is 3 !

Hi Crafters,

Thank you for visiting today - it's lovely to see you here.
Cute little Maisie from Lili of the Valley is the focal piece on my card for today but I think she is now discontinued as I can't find her in the shop :(
She was the perfect image needed for this commissioned card order and the colours requested were purple and lime green so the LOTV Bonnets and Bowties paper pad were perfect too.
