Getting Inky Again

Hi Crafters,

My cards today are using various makes of butterfly/ fairy/ mythical stamps and Distress Inks.
They have all been sprayed with Pearl Diamond Spray & Sparkle so they're really shimmery in real life.

I really enjoy my time spent getting inky and messy whilst creating these fabulous backgrounds to use in my cards. I have some more backgrounds saved up for another day, so watch this space :)

Stars

Hi Crafters,

Carrying on with my promise to post more often here is another card for today.

I've used this swirly star die to cut out the background card and placed glitter card behind. It looks like our little ballerina fairy is really doing some serious magic! I've used an LOTV art pad image again and just cut around her. The sentiment stamps are freebies from magazines.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Allsorts Challenge - #532/3 Sun, Moon and or Stars

Have a lovely day,

Fairy Delights

Hi Crafters,

I'm doing well with my mission to post each day and get some of cards up here on my blog. Thanks for calling by and sharing your comments and encouragement.

Today I have three fairy themed cards, they all started off with experimental inky backgrounds using Distress Oxide inks. I don't often get the chance for 'messy' play but when I do I really enjoy the process.

The two cards above were made using the Papercuts dies by Cathie Shuttleworth. The sentiment stamps and die cut word are from Crafters Companion. I sprayed them both with Crafters Companion Spray & Sparkle - Pearl Diamond.

This card was created using lots of different stamps from Lavinia, Sheena Douglas and magazine freebies. The sentiment die is a Fuzzy Lemon one from Craft Stash.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Incy Wincy Designs - Fantasy
Stamping Sensations - Things with Wings

Wishing you a great week...

Fairy Dust

Hi Crafters,

Just popping in for a quick share with you of one of a series of cards I've been making.
Using some Lavinia, Inkylicious and Sheena Douglas stamps, which work together beautifully, I have been creating a number of fairy themed cards.

Recipe
Lavinia Stamps - Fairies, Toadstools and Seed Heads
Sheena Douglas Stamps - Grass and flowers
Magazine Freebie - Sentiment
Distress Inks
Perfect Pearls Spray

These are so much fun to make and I have so many different coloured backgrounds in the making too. The combinations of Distress Inks are never ending.
After I stamped the seed heads I dabbed them with water and took off some of the colour to make them paler and more defined against the background.
Also it was a pleasant change from the plethora of Christmas cards I have made of late :o)

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Butterfly Challenge - #68 Fairies, Elves, Gnomes and Pixies
Crafting From The Heart - #139 ATG

Passion For Promarkers Challenge #325 - Christmas Tree

Hi Crafters,

December 1st....how did that happen?!

Well it's time to share my DT card for the new challenge at Passion For Promarkers.
To enter please use your Letraset markers on your project.

This week our theme is...
Christmas Tree.

I have used this lovely 'Christmas Tree Fairy' image from our sponsor and coloured her with my Pro/flexmarkers.

The papers are from two paper pads, 'Glad Tidings' by Dovecraft and 'The Night Before Christmas' by Trimcraft, trimmed with a little velvet ribbon. I have used a Marianne Fir Tree Die and the sentiment comes from a set also by Dovecraft.
Then I have covered everything in glitter - the camera hasn't captured it too well, or maybe it was the operator :/ but there is glitter on her wings and around the border plus I added clear Wink of Stella on her hair, dress and the trees near the sentiment.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Cute Card Thursday - #401 Fairies and Angels
Aud Sentiments - #145 ATG + Sentiment
Winter Wonderland - Add Some Sparkle & Bling
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - #108 ATG / Use A Die Cut
Crafty Friends - #19 One for the Girls
Come & Get It - ATG with a Sentiment

I hope you enjoyed visiting today, I love to have you here and read your comments.
Normal commenting service from me will be resumed shortly - it has been so manic here with one thing and another that visiting you all recently has not been possible.

...but take care everyone!...
...and see you soon,

Sharing an 'Oldie on Friday'

Hi Crafters,

Friday again!
Time to join Erika with sharing an old crafty make from the past.

This card was made in 2012 using 'A Touch of Magic' CD Rom by Linda Ravenscroft.

The images on this CD are beautiful but then I'm biased as fairies and mystical creatures are a favourite of mine.
Why don't you look up your 'crafts from the past' and join in? Just leave Erika a comment letting her know that you've joined in and she will come visit you.

Well it's rather muggy here today and I'm feeling the heat a bit, I went out for a walk earlier and haven't cooled down yet, so I'm off to chill out in my craft room.
Hope you are all well, see you soon.

Playing with my Distress Inks

Hi Crafters,
I've been playing with my Distress inks and some fairy stamps today and this is what I have made.

Recipe
Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concorde and Black Soot.
Black Archival Ink and Clear embossing powder
Brilliance Ink - Platinum Planet
Lavinia Stamps - Fairy, mushrooms, spiral sentiment and verse
Magazine Freebie Stamp - Butterfly swirl and flourish
Glamour Dust

I began by inking my cardstock and spritzing with water, then when dry I stamped the images embossing each one as I went. The silver spiral sentiment doesn't appear to show up in the photo's very well but in real life it does. I just matted the finished piece on to silver mirri and then black cardstock to frame it.
Challenges
Lavinia Stamps - #2 Bright and Beautiful
TTCRD - ATG
Sister Act - #93 ATG
Creative Fingers - #67 ATG

I'd like to say a warm welcome to my new followers both on Google and Bloglovin, it's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy what you see.
It's busy, busy, busy for me today I have some DT work to do and a few orders to complete and then I shall fit in some commenting along the way. Have a great day one and all!
