As You Like It Challenge - Favourite Christmas Carol & WHY

Hi Crafters,

I'm popping in today with my last inspirational card for the new challenge at As You Like It.
As You Like It is the last of my three design teams that I have decided to step down from, if you saw my post last Sunday you will know the reasons why, but suffice to say I was trying to fit too much in to my time. I will miss all the ladies on the team, I had a fab time creating for these challenges and intend to join in a challenge or two when I can in the future.

So....
We'd like to see your Favourite Christmas Carol and please tell us Why it is your favourite.

I have a few favourite Carols really but I've chosen
'Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly'
'Tis the Season to be Jolly'
Fa, la, la, la, la, - la, la, la, la.
I think this is one of the most cheerful carols and I really love to sing it.

As You Like It Challenge #94 Favourite Gold/Silver and WHY

Hi Crafters,

It's the first of December!
Not long to go now until the Big Day so I'm continuing to get my Christmas cards made and this one is for the new challenge at As You Like It.

We'd like to see your favourite choice of Gold or Silver in a project.

I love both but when creating frosty Christmas card scenes I like to use silver, it certainly adds to the Wintry feel of a project or card.
It is notoriously difficult to photograph though and always seems to turn out looking black...I can assure you though in real life it is both shiny and silvery :o)

As You Like It Challenge - Favourite Film or Song & WHY

Hi Crafters,

Thanks for joining me today.
I'm here to share my DT inspiration for the new challenge at As You Like It.

We'd like you to showcase a project using your Favourite Film or Song and Why.

My favourite film is The Addams Family.
( I bet you all said that to the tune, he, he)

The particular version I'm speaking of was with Anjelica Huston as Morticia and dates back to 1991! Crikey how time flies!
I love fictional/fantasy stories but not horror films so this certainly fits the bill. All of the quirky characters have an endearing quality, even Uncle Fester.

Anyhow, here is my card...

As You Like It Challenge #85 Favourite Papers and WHY

Hi Crafters,

Wow we are nearly at the end of July, this month has flown yet again - scary stuff.

I'm here today to share my DT card for the new challenge at As You Like It.
You'll love this one as it will give you an opportunity to get out your favourite papers and make something fabulous.
We'd love you to tell us in your post WHY you feel these are your favourite papers please.

My ultimate favourite paper company is Graphic 45. The superb quality and beautiful patterns along with so many lovely elements within the designs are what makes them appealing to me. I love that you can fussy cut tags and toppers, flowers and tiny embellishments from the papers and their colours and patterns coordinate so well too.
However, I avoid using them too often because I can't bring myself to cut in to them! They are kept in my 'strokable' pile :)  But I have made a special exception today.

Recipe
Papers - Graphic 45 - A Ladies Diary Paper Pad
Lace
Pearl Trim
Glitter

All the elements were cut from the papers and with the addition of some lace and pearl trim my card was finished.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Bunny Zoe's - Summer Florals
Crafty Girlz - #17 ATG

So get out your favourite papers and join in!

Hi Crafters,

We all have a favourite occasion right?
So this weeks challenge should be easy peasy!

At As You Like It this time we want to see your cards or projects depicting your Favourite Occasion and WHY.

I have chosen Birthdays as my favourite.
Creating Birthday cards for friends, family and for orders has afforded me a very wide and varied platform in which to create all kinds of cards in varying styles according to the recipients tastes. I have been able to experiment with different techniques and designs and each card is a new challenge which I love.
This card was one I made for my eldest daughter's birthday last week.

As You Like It Challenge - Favourite Card Shape or Fold & WHY

Hi Crafters,

This week is flying by and it's already time for our new challenge at As You Like It

We want to see your favourite card shape or fold.
To qualify for the prize we need you to tell us in your post the reason WHY it is your favourite.

Now, although I usually make square cards because my customers ask for them,  my favourite card fold is this.....

Tri-Fold Shutter Card

I really like this shape because it gives you so many panels on which to add your embellishments and decorate to your hearts content. This one however, I have kept rather plain as I am wanting to post it. If you decorate all the panels it can be rather chunky by the time you have finished.

Hi Crafters,

Hello and welcome, it's lovely to have you visit me today.

I'm sharing my DT card for the challenge at As You Like It today where we would love to see your creations using your favourite one layer or multiple layer styles.
You must remember to tell us WHY you have chosen this particular style please.

I much prefer, and also find it easier to create a project with multiple layers because I like to have a variety of embellishments, colours and textures on my cards. A clean and simple design is a very daunting prospect for me as I find it difficult to walk away after one layer, lol.

As You Like It Challenge # 71 - Paper or Non Paper Project and WHY

Hi Crafters,

Well, I'm lucky to be blogging today after the fiasco I have had with my new computer. I should have put a bet on as to whether it would work ok as I would have won, lol.
After spending quite some time with Hubby on Monday evening getting it up and running with a limited set of programmes and working fine I went to bed quite contented.
Tuesday morning I woke full of enthusiasm to tackle the task of setting up the rest of what I needed to function with my DT blogs and various programmes that I regularly use only to have it throw a wobbly and produce an error message before it had even booted up properly. I then spent the next four hours on the phone to tech. support (good job it was a free phone number) only to have him finally decide that it would be best to reset it to the factory settings.
Arrrgh!!
All my downloaded cut files for my Silhouette would be lost and I think that was the third and final time I could reload them to a new computer. Not to mention the stuff I lost when my old computer crashed. Do you think someone is trying to tell me something?
..and if I see another whirling wheel in the next week I think I will go over the edge.
All that keeps ringing in my ears is what my daughter said before it arrived,
"I don't know what you are stressing about, there is nothing to getting a new computer, you just take it out of the box, switch it on and it does it all for you".
What planet is she on?!

Anyhoo, rant over,
(I'm saying this with fingers crossed)
it is working fine now.

Now what was I here for? ahh yes - A Challenge!

The new challenge at As You Like It is to showcase a project using your Favourite of either a Paper or Non Paper Project. You MUST also explain WHY it is your favourite.

My favourite is Paper every time, I have tried knitting, crochet, flower pressing (a lot of years ago) and painting but I always come back to paper crafting for my crafty fix.
So here is my project...
