Happy Ever After.....

Hi Crafters,

Time continues to fly by and this is the first chance I have had in between DT posts to share the card I created for my daughter and son-in-laws wedding.

Their wedding theme was white and green with lots of foliage in the decoration and so I thought the 'Lady' Mintay papers would work well for their card.

I fussy cut lots of the flowers and elements from the papers and layered them around the central shaker element which I filled with pearls and green glitter to match the colour theme. The gold hearts and wedding rings were cut from another paper collection.

Have a great Wednesday!

Wedding Box/Keepsake

Hi Crafters,

I was asked to create a Wedding Box or Keepsake so that money could be given to the happy couple in something a bit more presentable than just an envelope, it is also big enough to keep mementos of the day ie. garter, place name, confetti etc.

I used lots of lace, pearls and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The chipboard 'Mr & Mrs' is from Anna Marie Designs.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Not Just Cards - #58 ATG

It's been very windy throughout the night and in to this morning but not as bad as some have had it on the West coast and further up in the North. Things have been flying around in the garden which I thought were secure so several trips to pick up stray plant pots etc, I've decided to lay the wooden bird table down on the grass as I don't think it will take another battering. I hope you are all ok where you are.
See you soon,

Another 'Oldie'

Hi Crafters,

It's that time of the week again where I join Erika at Snappy Crafts and share an old crafty project just for fun.
You can join in too by posting anything crafty you have made in the past and leaving a comment on her blog so she can visit you back.

Here's my 'oldie' for today. It was created using an image and papers from an MCS CD-Rom.

The quality of the picture is a little blurred but you can see the design well enough. I glittered the edges of the layers after mounting them on to bronze pearlescent card stock to match the colours in the image. The rose trim had been in my stash for ages and so I added some pearls to each rose to mimic the string of pearls in the image too.

Well hope you enjoyed my card today, pop over to Erika's blog and take a peek at her post, it is always a great read.

I will be round to comment later, that's if blogger will allow. I have been suffering from gremlins, as have many of you when it comes to commenting lately. Out of the twenty blogs I visited this morning only two would allow me to post a comment, so we will see how that pans out this afternoon.

Hope you enjoy your Friday and have a fabulous weekend.

As You Like It Challenge #72 - One Layer or Multiple Layers and WHY

Hi Crafters,

Hello and welcome, it's lovely to have you visit me today.

I'm sharing my DT card for the challenge at As You Like It today where we would love to see your creations using your favourite one layer or multiple layer styles.
You must remember to tell us WHY you have chosen this particular style please.

I much prefer, and also find it easier to create a project with multiple layers because I like to have a variety of embellishments, colours and textures on my cards. A clean and simple design is a very daunting prospect for me as I find it difficult to walk away after one layer, lol.
Here is my card...

Recipe
Image - found on the Internet
Papers - Fizzy Moon with Love - Mr & Mrs Paper Pad
Word Die Cuts - Britannia Dies
Corner Die Cut (underneath background) - Marianne Designs LR0281

Satin Ribbon
Pearls

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Craft-Dee Bowz - ATG + Bow
OSAAT - #254 Tic Tac Toe (3 or more layers, Lots of blue, Pearls)

Our sponsor this time is

Please pop over to the challenge blog for some more inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Sharing an Oldie on Friday

Hi Crafters,

Friday has come round again and it is time to join in with Erika from Snappy Crafts and share an 'oldie' crafty project just for fun.

I'm sticking with the wedding theme from earlier in the week and sharing this card that I made a couple of years ago. Sorry for the blurred photo.

Glittered Swirl Card
Hobby Craft Sentiment Stamp
Gold Embossing Powder
Braided Trim and Pearl String from Stash

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you are all well, the temperature is a little cooler today which I prefer so I need to catch up with some housework that didn't get done in the heat. Firstly though, I'm off to visit Erika's blog and let her know that I have joined in today and if you would like to play along with us then I look forward to seeing your creations too.

Bye for now,

The wedding season is upon us and I have been asked to make a few wedding cards recently and here is one of them...

Centura Pearl card for the embossed layer and Bride
Grey Pearlescent card for the mat and Groom

I try to be as organised as I can but bed time arrives and my check list still has a few things left on it. I will be round to comment throughout the day though and have a look at what you have been up to.

See you soon,

Lorraine
