Allsorts Challenge #749 - Vintage

 Hi Crafters,

It's been a lovely week here for the weather and we have reached Saturday once again so that means a new challenge at Allsorts.

We are looking to see your VINTAGE creations this time plus we have the ANYTHING GOES option too.

I have made a Wedding Anniversary card using this lovely, layered vintage rose design. There was a lot of fussy cutting to be done but well worth the time taken.

Come and join in with us this week for a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes on offer from:

Stamp AddictsOakwoodHighlight CraftsRuth Hamilton Dedsign, AALL and Create and Craft Stash

Short and sweet from me today as I have my Flu Jab appointment to attend this morning, I'm hoping there are no side effects with this one as I've only just gotten over feeling ill after having my Covid jab last weekend!

Take care,

Lorraine

Allsorts Challenge #666 - ATG with option To Distress

 Hi Crafters,

It's the weekend and here we are again with a new challenge for Allsorts.

This week our theme is a nice and easy ANYTHING GOES with the option to DISTRESS

I have created a set of vintage and distressed ATC's

The background layer has been distressed, stamped, inked and crackle paste added through a stencil and there's even some embossing powder (Frantage) on there too. I loved using the lace underneath this layer to add more of a vintage feel. The frames have been die cut and heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

to be added

We have two prizes again this week.....

A £15 store voucher from Stamp Addicts
and this lovely Tattered Lace Die from the Pastel Haven range.

The Design Team have been busy as always and created some lovely projects to inspire you, take a look at them here. They are looking forward to seeing what you create, so come and join in the fun!

Allsorts Challenge #647 - ATG/Vintage Style

 Hi Crafters,

I hope you are enjoying the start of your weekend.

It is my birthday today but I have to attend the Farmers & Craft Market that I organise this morning so all celebrations will have to wait until later - nothing too grand as by the time I get back home I will probably just want to put my feet up and have a cuppa :o)

Anyway I digress, I'm here to share my card for the new challenge at Allsorts which starts today. We would like to see your Vintage Style makes or you can opt for the Anything Goes theme.

Recipe
Created using the Tattered Lace 'So Chic' Die Set and matching Charisma Download.

Quite a simple card to put together as everything is on the CD Rom including backing papers and images. I just did a little inking around the edges with my Vintage Photo Distress Ink pad.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

to be added

For the lucky winners we have these great prizes

IndigoBlu Rose Blush Stamp

Winners choice of 3 images from Ruth Hamilton Designs

The design team are eager to visit your blogs and see your creations this week so pop over to the challenge blog HERE to enter.

Vintage Wedding

Hi Crafters,

I'm popping in today to share a card for the challenge at Frilly & Funky - 3 is Not a Crowd.
I have included 3 flowers and 3 pearls in a group on this vintage wedding card to qualify for the challenge.

Recipe
Patterned Papers - Anna Marie Designs
Tonic Studio Veranda Die
Joy Crafts 6002/0172 Corner Die
Cottage Cutz Wedding bells Die
Vintage Lace
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Chipboard 'Mr & Mrs' inked and heat embossed with shimmer embossing powder
Pearls

I'd also like to enter these challenges:
Noor Designs - #38 ATG
Unicorn Challenge - #28 ATG

It's been very windy throughout the night and in to this morning but not as bad as some have had it on the West coast and further up in the North. Things have been flying around in the garden which I thought were secure so several trips to pick up stray plant pots etc, I've decided to lay the wooden bird table down on the grass as I don't think it will take another battering. I hope you are all ok where you are.
See you soon,

Lorraine

Christmas Card Club Challenge #18 - Magical, Mystical

Hi Crafters,

Thanks for sticking with me over this rather barren period of blog posting. I am still creating cards and projects at a rate of knots but finding time to share them is another matter.
However, I am here today for our fortnightly Christmas challenge, Rachel has chosen the theme and given us...

Magical / Mystical

I think Santa falls into this category quite nicely, after all we know he isn't real, don't we?

Vintage Style

Hi Crafters,

Hope you are all well and thank you for visiting.

I have a special card to share today, not only was I thrilled to be asked to do a GDT spot for  Try It On Tuesday  but I finally had time to create a style of card that I have admired being made by some of the talented crafters out there.

The challenge theme was to....
Use a Vintage Photo

Recipe
Vintage Photo - Internet
Papers - Graphic 45 'A Ladies Diary'
Spellbinders Floral Oval Die
Joy Crafts Viewmaster Die 6002/0451
Joy Crafts Flourish 6002/0258
Joy Crafts Butterfly Border Die 6002/0251
Go Kreate Large Frilly Frame #10 Die
Pearl Strings
Guipure Lace
Flowers
Gathered Twigs Distress Ink

I really enjoyed myself making this card, although I broke out in a cold sweat making the decision to cut in to my G45 pad that I had been hoarding, but it really suited what I had in mind for this card so I chopped away. The layers were hand stitched and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and I decorated the inside to match the front cutting a white oval for the message.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Crafty Catz - #321 Add Lace
Fussy & Fancy - #162 Female Birthdays
Noor Design - #17 ATG
The Ribbon Girl - April Any Image ATG

Shabby Chic

Hi Crafters,

This is my second post for today, must be on a roll :)

I have made another card using these beautiful shabby/vintage papers from Michele R Designs. The theme on the papers is sewing so I went with that for the embellishments.

 Recipe
Papers - Michele R Designs - Sew Shabby
Sentiment -  LOTV ~Quotables Set 61
Recycled Lace
Crochet Flower
Paper Doily
Buttons
Twine
Pearl Trim

I distressed and inked the edges of the papers once I had printed them out to complete the shabby feel. Then I layered them up with the doily and lace trims to complete the look. I was given the beautiful crochet flower, I wish I could make these - I've tried and they turn out wonky :/ it's the only one I have but I had to use it here as it seemed perfect for the card.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Come & Get It - Buttons and Bows
Creative Moments - #76 Use A Sentiment
Fab n Funky - #272 Shabby Chic
NBUS Challenge - #5 ATG (New Quote Stamp) and Crochet Flower)
Deep Ocean - #112 Shabby Chic
