Passion For Promarkers Challenge #285 - Letters of the Alphabet (Anything Goes)

Hi Crafters,
Sorry I haven't been around much this week but I have been trying to limit my internet time. I have a lot of orders to get finished and find that too many unproductive hours slip by whilst sitting in front of my screen, lol. More discipline needed I think. Normal service will be resumed shortly and I will visit soon, promise.
So on to today, I am here to share with you my DT card for Passion For Promarkers and this week we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps who are offering a $21 voucher as their prize.
I went with 'B' is for Birthday and here is my card.

Recipe
Woodware Stamp - Huge Happy Birthday
Promarkers
Inky Doodles Stamp - Leafy Background
Stampin' Up Corner and Border Punch
Pearls
Glitter

I love this large Woodware stamp, it is so versatile. I stamped and embossed it to give a raised edge to the letters and then I masked off the words and stamped my background. I then coloured it with my Promarkers ( puzzlingly in real life the colours are more blended but somehow the camera has picked up the shade differences :/ ) added shading around the letters so that it gives a 3d illusion and used glitter to highlight the tops of the letters. It's also quite flat for posting too.

  Challenges
Sister Act - #94 ATG
Creative Fingers - #68 ATG
Fussy and Fancy - #133 Tic Tac Toe
(Bottom row - Sentiment, Wet emboss, Sparkle)
Addicted To CAS - #57 Mask
Addicted To Stamps - #98 Embossing Dry or Heat
OSAAT - #231 ATG with Birthday's
Eureka Stamps - #129 Birthday Cards

Check out the rest of the DT's creations on the blog, they have done some fabulous work this week. Please come and join us in our challenge, remember you must use your Letraset markers to be in with a chance of winning the prize.
See you all soon,

Christmas Card Club Challenge #4 - Snow Covered Trees

** My 613 Avenue Create DT post is coming shortly, thanks **

Hi Crafters,

It is time to show you another creation for our friendly Christmas Card Club and the theme was chosen by our lovely Mary who has picked 'snow covered trees'.
We have been lucky here so far with the weather and haven't seen any snow yet apart from the odd flurry but I guess, it is only the middle of February and there is time yet for the white stuff to visit.
Here is my card...

I have used the last of my plastic domes (sad face) and a decoupage sheet from the Snow Globes CD Rom, I sprinkled white Flower Soft on to the trees and as a shaker element in the dome. I made one like this last year but with a Christmas Village scene in it. The card front was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and the music ribbon came from my stash. I punched out some ovals using my Stampin' Up punches to mount the sentiment on.
Challenges:

CHNC Christmas Challenge Extra - February Challenge.

Well this one makes four new cards this year in my Christmas box and there were already a few left over from last year so I have a healthy stash of Christmas cards so far - a good feeling. Do pop over to the members blogs and see their creations ( list in page tab at the top) and maybe even have ago yourself.
See you soon,

Lorraine

Playing with my Distress Inks

Hi Crafters,
I've been playing with my Distress inks and some fairy stamps today and this is what I have made.

Recipe
Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concorde and Black Soot.
Black Archival Ink and Clear embossing powder
Brilliance Ink - Platinum Planet
Lavinia Stamps - Fairy, mushrooms, spiral sentiment and verse
Magazine Freebie Stamp - Butterfly swirl and flourish
Glamour Dust

I began by inking my cardstock and spritzing with water, then when dry I stamped the images embossing each one as I went. The silver spiral sentiment doesn't appear to show up in the photo's very well but in real life it does. I just matted the finished piece on to silver mirri and then black cardstock to frame it.
Challenges
Lavinia Stamps - #2 Bright and Beautiful
TTCRD - ATG
Sister Act - #93 ATG
Creative Fingers - #67 ATG

I'd like to say a warm welcome to my new followers both on Google and Bloglovin, it's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy what you see.
It's busy, busy, busy for me today I have some DT work to do and a few orders to complete and then I shall fit in some commenting along the way. Have a great day one and all!

Passion For Promarkers Challenge #283 'To Someone I Love'

Hi Crafters,
It's been a busy week here with not much time for blogging I'm afraid but I'm here today to share my DT card with you for the new challenge at Passion For Promarkers. We are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs this time and I have used a gorgeous image called 'Snow Queen' on my card today. I have coloured her a little differently to what her name suggests though, I moved away from the cold, showy and icy theme to this...

I used my Go Kreate Frilly #10 Large Frame dies and digital papers from Just So Scrappy - Bee Mine. The image is coloured of course, with Promarkers and I did an 'out of the box' technique with her long plait. For the love theme I incorporated  a Spellbinders 'Love Locket' die and a Magnolia branch that has hearts on the stems. I found some ruched tulle and rose trim in my stash along with the resin roses in both red and yellow to coordinate with the papers and then punched a heart border with an EK Success punch. I also decorated the inside to match, hopefully you can see in this picture...

Challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - #245 Seeing Red
Come & Get It - Love is in the Air
Quirky Crafts - #3 Love is in the Air
Eureka Stamps - #127 All is Love
Crafty Cardmakers and More - #132 Love, Love, Love
I Love Promarkers - #255 Lots of Love
Creative Moments - #61 ATG/Love
Crafty Creations - Owl Love You - (Owls/Hearts/Love)
Cute Card Thursday - #359 Crazy In Love
Fussy & Fancy - #132 It's All About Love

Tribal

Hi Crafters,
I have a friend who recently celebrated a big birthday and she really likes anything to do with Native Red Indians so I made her this card which she loved.

The papers and elements I found in a digital kit from Raspberry Road Designs and I had a Joy Feather die that matched beautifully to the theme. I used 3 colours of distress ink on the die cuts to mimic the feathers in the digital cluster on the left hand side of the card. Then I rummaged through my stash for the leather thong and the beads to thread through the eyelets I had put down the right hand side of the card. The skull and feather cluster was printed out a few times and decoupaged for interest and I cut the '50' using the Tim Holtz Vintage Market die. The inside was decorated simply to match the front.

Challenges:
TTCRD - ATG
Try It On Tuesday - Add A Photo (Tepee image)
Crafty Catz - #264 Stitching - Real/Faux

Thank you to all my visitors and commenters recently, I've had fun reading them and visiting in return. Crafters are such a nice bunch of people and I really appreciate your company here.

Christmas Card Club Challenge - #3 Jolly Santa, Ho, Ho, Ho

**For my 613 Avenue Create DT post please scroll down**

Hi Crafters,
It's time for our friendly Christmas Card Club challenge and this week it was my turn to choose the theme. I went with the big man himself 'Santa' and here's what I came up with...

Recipe
DL card blank (this is unusual for me)
Vintage Santa Digi  - Sherri Baldy
Pro/flexmarkers
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Go Kreate large oval die
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Glitter embossing powder
Sentiment - Magazine Freebie

I inked and glitter embossed around the edges of the card and the oval aperture and it looks fine IRL but here in the photo it looks grubby :(

 Challenges
Cute Card Thursday - #358 Stamping Mad
Completely Christmas - #48 Square or Rectangle Card
Sister Act - #91 ATG
Creative Fingers - #65 ATG
Sketch Saturday - #346 Pick Any Sketch

Please take a look at the other ladies blogs in the team (list in page tab at the top) they have some inspirational cards for you to help get YOU started on those Christmas cards early this year. It makes all the difference to have a stack of cards ready come the festive season and helps to take a bit of the pressure off that is so acute at that time of year.
Hope you enjoyed my little Santa creation, I will be round to visit you all later today.

Hugs,
Lorraine
