Tribal

Hi Crafters,
I have a friend who recently celebrated a big birthday and she really likes anything to do with Native Red Indians so I made her this card which she loved.

The papers and elements I found in a digital kit from Raspberry Road Designs and I had a Joy Feather die that matched beautifully to the theme. I used 3 colours of distress ink on the die cuts to mimic the feathers in the digital cluster on the left hand side of the card. Then I rummaged through my stash for the leather thong and the beads to thread through the eyelets I had put down the right hand side of the card. The skull and feather cluster was printed out a few times and decoupaged for interest and I cut the '50' using the Tim Holtz Vintage Market die. The inside was decorated simply to match the front.

James Daisy

Hi Crafters,
**Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who left such lovely Birthday wishes for me yesterday, it was wonderful to hear from you all and I appreciate it very much**

Now on to James Daisy, isn't he the most adorable little bear? I have had this stamp from Lili of the Valley for some time but was a little nervous to colour him up, I haven't had much experience colouring fur and so I kept putting him away again in my stamp box. But I had a commissioned card to make for somebody who really wanted a bear image like this on their card so, here he is.....

Recipe
James Daisy - LOTV
Promarkers
Papers - MME Collectable - Notable
Kraft cardstock
MFT Blueprints 14 dies
Memory Box - Birthday word die
Brittania Dies - Happy word
MFT - Swirl die
MFT Numbers die
EK Success Corner punch
Pearls

I decided not to try for textured fur this time but to do shading, I still love the way he turned out though. Here is a close up...

I thought the MFT flower die went so well with the daisy that James is holding so I had to add it.

I am gradually trying to get round to all your blogs but I have been unable to comment on some, Blogger has decided not to open up the comment box at times or it is completely blank, so although I have seen your wonderful makes I have been unable to leave a comment. I'm not the only one who is having problems from what I have read, Blogger is throwing a hissy and causing frustration to a lot of us. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon.
Bye for now,

Lorraine
