Tea Bag Dispenser

Hi Crafters,
Well the turkey has been eaten and the Christmas pudding is gone too, I still have a few Quality Street left in the tin but they won't be there for long so I guess Christmas is over for another year :o(
but just to make it last a bit longer I would like to show you one of the gifts I made this year using my Silhouette Cameo machine. It's a very versatile cutting machine and although I've had it for about  a year now I have still only scratched the surfaced with what it can do.
This Tea Bag Dispenser holds a full box of individually wrapped tea bags, these ones were rose flavoured herbal tea and it looks so much better displayed on your worktop than a plain box.

This is a top view of the lid...

This was very easy to put together and can be made in any colour you like, the design was purchased at the Silhouette online store.

Come back later for my list of 5 favourite creations of 2013 - I'm joining in the fun at A Scrapjourney why don't you join in, there's Candy too.
See you later

Five Jolly Snowmen

Evening all,
Just thought I would pop in and share the last five cards that I have made, and I am so chuffed coz' that's me all finished on the Christmas card front for this year, phew. It was a mad rush at the end and so my New Years resolution is definitely going to be that I must make a Christmas card every week next year so that I have a stash of them by the time it comes round again.
I used a gorgeous Penny Black stamp called 'Warm and Cold Snowman', my Promarkers, lots of different embossing folders (although you are hard pressed to see the embossing in the photo I'm afraid) a Tim Holtz edge die and some gingham ribbon.
He's such a cute little fellow don't you think?
I'm entering in to the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Last Christmas... Card of the Year
Crafty Little Fairies - Let It Snow
Bearly-Mine Challenge - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Ribbon and Pearls
Penny Black and More Challenge - Traditional Christmas Colours

That's it from me this evening, I'm off to finish wrapping the last few presents and watch a bit of TV.

That Stamp Again....

..Hi, I'm really getting some great inspiration from this Stampendous Snowy Postcard stamp. I've made another Christmas card with it that I would like to share with you.
This card is for my mum she likes traditional scenes for Christmas, I hope she likes it.
It's a short and sweet post today as I have 6 Christmas cards left to make and I'm on a mission to get them finished today -  fingers crossed.
Bye for now

Stampendous - Snowy Postcard

Hi all,
I'm really loving this stamp from Stampendous, although I think I'm a little late discovering it, lol. I'm sure it's been out there a while now, and judging by the amount of lovely cards I've seen made with it when I did a search, you are all loving it too.
Here's a couple of different examples...

This stamp is so versatile and you can get very different effects just by changing the colour of ink it's stamped with or by layering it up like I have in the first example.
I also got to use my pot of Frantage for the first time and I loved the way that turned out too, it makes a great falling snow effect.
Well that's all for now,
See you soon,
Lorraine

Crafters Companion - Barkley

Hi Crafters,

What happened to yesterday?
I meant to post this yesterday but the time just got away from me, so here it is - one of my latest Christmas cards.
This is Barkley and Friends, a Christmas pre-coloured digi from a decoupage sheet and a great shaped card that I purchased from the NEC recently. I tried out my new snowflake die from Joy and glittered it up with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Crystal Sparkle embossing powder, I've used this a lot lately, I love it. The sentiment is from a Dreamees set of stamps. Sorry the lighting is rubbish.
Here is a closer view...
... you can just make out the layers of decoupage.
And a nice close up of the snowflake and embossing.
As you can see Father Christmas really needs to bring me a new camera and a light box, I've been very good, promise. We will have to see, it could just be the photographer lol.

I'd like to enter this in to the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Christmas Creatures
Country View Crafts - Bah-Humbug
Bearly Mine Challenge - Sketch #116
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Embossing (Dry & Heat)
A Creative Romance - Sparkle at Christmas
Scribble & Scrap - Challenge #7 Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate your comments and try to visit all your blogs too. I always look at your work even if I don't have time to comment.
The glitter is calling, must dash,

I'm Back !

Phew, it's been a busy 2 weeks. I've been beavering away in my craft room almost non stop since my last post trying to finish everything on an ever increasing list of Christmas cards, commissioned cards, and a Christening album. The latter is what I would like to share with you today. The Christening was yesterday so I can safely show pictures now.
Just a warning, there are quite a few....
The front cover

The album was made from chipboard and all the pages were covered with papers from the 'First Edition - Up, Up & Away' 8 x 8  pad.
I used silk ribbon and heart buttons for the binding and the flair button came in a set from 36 Shades of Flair .

I did some fussy cutting and made a raised photo frame.

Inside front cover has a pocket and gift tag.
First page has a verse
Next page - I've fuzzed out the name and details
Space for a photo, it just tucks under at the corners
Space for photo and journaling
Page for Godparents
Page for family photo
Page for guests photo
more photo's and journaling
Name banner and more photo's
Verse and inside back cover and pocket
Back cover

I was really pleased with how this turned out, it's only the second mini album I have made and I learnt a lot from the first one which made this one a little easier.
Well I will be back tomorrow to share some of the Christmas cards that I have been creating and maybe enter them in a challenge or two.
TTFN,

Lorraine
