Passion For Promarkers Challenge #480 - Something Beginning with 'L'

Hi Crafters,

I'm happy to be back after my little blog break.

I fancied a little change after 5 years (gosh how time flies) so I've re-vamped my blog too, hope you like it?

Today it is my challenge theme at Passion For Promarkers.

I thought I'd choose the letter 'L' for a nice and easy theme.

You can create your cards and projects using your Winsor Newton Markers and then incorporate things that begin with the letter 'L'.

Passion For Promarkers Challenge #397 - Make a Kinetic Card

Hi Crafters,

It's the start of a new challenge at Passion For Promarkers and we are making Kinetic Cards this week.

So anything with movement in them and using your Winsor Newton Markers of course.

We are sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps who are offering 2 digital images to the winner.

I decided to go for a box card construction and use the pretty Fairy Swing image with her swinging between the branches of the trees. I reinforced the tree die cuts with two of those wooden coffee stirrers. 

I changed the dimensions of the box from a square to a rectangle to accommodate the width of the image and trees without making the whole thing huge!

...and here's a close-up of the gorgeous image and if you tap her gently she really does swing back and forth.

Passion For Promarkers Challenge #382 - Clean & Simple

Hi Crafters,

Today's theme at Passion For Promarkers is...

Clean & Simple

...one which always stretches me as I struggle to create CAS designs. I just never know when to walk away and leave the embellishments alone. Not that I ever over embellish my regular cards either but the minimal look is just not in my nature - this is evident when I look round my craft room and the rest of my house now I come to think of it, lol.

Anywhoooo....this is as clean and simple as it gets for me but I'm sure you can do better and we would love to see all your wonderful creations entered in to the challenge this week.

Passion For Promarkers Challenge #353 Yellow & Blue

Hi Crafters,

I've been a very bad blogger this past week so I do apologise but there just hasn't been a spare minute around here lately. I will endeavour to catch up with you all as this week progresses however, I'm here to tell you about the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers that starts today.

Well I was so pleased about this theme because it gave me a very good reason to cut in to my 'Sunny Side Up' Lili of the Valley paper pad which, up until now, has only been in the stroking pile :)

Hi Crafters,

At As You Like It  our challenge is to showcase a project using your favourite Markers, Inks or Pencils and tell us WHY.

My favourite colouring medium are Promarker pens. They are the first alcohol pens I tried when I started crafting, they just suited me and how I like to colour my images so I have kept with them. I like to try different colour combos and shading.

Instead of colouring all of this sweet image with my Promarkers I decided to paper piece her jacket and leggings and add shading with my markers. I like how this turned out and am very pleased with the card over all. It's colour combo is a little unusual for me but I think it works.

The colouring on this image was quite time consuming to go in and add the shading around all the tiny petals but it was very therapeutic. What looks like black card in the photo is actually silver mirri card - there goes my award for photographer of the year !

Isn't this the cutest dragon you ever did see? If dragons were real I would love them to be like this  and not the scary sort in films, lol.
I went for a bright and cheerful colour palette this time, it's been so wet, dull and dreary here that I thought I needed a little lift and began thinking about Spring.
