Fairy Dust

Hi Crafters,

Just popping in for a quick share with you of one of a series of cards I've been making.
Using some Lavinia, Inkylicious and Sheena Douglas stamps, which work together beautifully, I have been creating a number of fairy themed cards.

Recipe
Lavinia Stamps - Fairies, Toadstools and Seed Heads
Sheena Douglas Stamps - Grass and flowers
Magazine Freebie - Sentiment
Distress Inks
Perfect Pearls Spray

These are so much fun to make and I have so many different coloured backgrounds in the making too. The combinations of Distress Inks are never ending.
After I stamped the seed heads I dabbed them with water and took off some of the colour to make them paler and more defined against the background.
Also it was a pleasant change from the plethora of Christmas cards I have made of late :o)

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Butterfly Challenge - #68 Fairies, Elves, Gnomes and Pixies
Crafting From The Heart - #139 ATG
Brown Sugar - #227 ATG
Creative Fingers - #121 ATG
Allsorts Challenge - #392 CAS
Noor Designs - #25 Sparkle
Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends - #47 ATG

Thank you for joining me today and see you soon,

A is for Angler

Hi Crafters,

I've been getting inky over the Easter weekend and this is what I've created using my Distress Inks and a variety of stamps.

Recipe
Distress Inks for the background
Versamark Onyx Black Ink foreground Stamping
Memento Green Inks
Woodware Angler Stamp and Sentiment
Various Sheena Douglas Stamps
Lavinia Stamps
Marianne Corner Die LR0143

I created the background by tearing a piece of paper and using the jagged edge with my inks for the mountains and water. The clouds were inked using another piece of card that I had cut to shape. Then it was just a case of over stamping the foliage and Angler image. I'm quite pleased at how this turned out.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Cardz 4 Guyz - #113 Something Beginning with 'A' (Angler)
Unicorn Challenge - #7 Clean & Simple
One Crazy Stamper - March ATG

A lovely day in Norfolk today, cool and windy but the sun is shining beautifully. It certainly makes me feel happier - plus I have managed to get three lines of washing dry and that somehow makes me even happier - sad house wife I guess :/

Hope you are having a great day too.

Fairy Wishes

Hi Crafters,
Hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend.
Today I thought I would share with you another card made using my distress inks and a selection of stamps. I created the background with Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Chipped Sapphire and Dusky Concorde DI. The main spiral verse stamp is a favourite one of mine from Lavinia Stamps, the others are from Kanban, Inkylicious and some magazine freebies that I have had for a while. These have been stamped with black archival ink and heat embossed.

Challenges:
Scribble & Scrap - #41 ATG
OSAAT - #233 ATG with Nature
Creative Fingers - #74 ATG

I hope you like my little fantasy scene card, I will have to make another one with just Lavinia stamps for it to be eligible for their challenge but that is one for another day.
See you all soon,

Playing with my Distress Inks

Hi Crafters,
I've been playing with my Distress inks and some fairy stamps today and this is what I have made.

Recipe
Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concorde and Black Soot.
Black Archival Ink and Clear embossing powder
Brilliance Ink - Platinum Planet
Lavinia Stamps - Fairy, mushrooms, spiral sentiment and verse
Magazine Freebie Stamp - Butterfly swirl and flourish
Glamour Dust

I began by inking my cardstock and spritzing with water, then when dry I stamped the images embossing each one as I went. The silver spiral sentiment doesn't appear to show up in the photo's very well but in real life it does. I just matted the finished piece on to silver mirri and then black cardstock to frame it.
Challenges
Lavinia Stamps - #2 Bright and Beautiful
TTCRD - ATG
Sister Act - #93 ATG
Creative Fingers - #67 ATG

I'd like to say a warm welcome to my new followers both on Google and Bloglovin, it's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy what you see.
It's busy, busy, busy for me today I have some DT work to do and a few orders to complete and then I shall fit in some commenting along the way. Have a great day one and all!
