Football Crazy

Hi Crafters,

I've been looking through some older stamps that haven't seen the light of day for a while and came across this footballer stamp. It had no packaging, I think I received it in a swap, so I'm not sure of the brand.... but thought I had better ink it up anyway.
I stamped it in black as it had dotted shading on the stamp just like the pictures in a newspaper.

Vintage Style

Hi Crafters,

Hope you are all well and thank you for visiting.

I have a special card to share today, not only was I thrilled to be asked to do a GDT spot for  Try It On Tuesday  but I finally had time to create a style of card that I have admired being made by some of the talented crafters out there.

The challenge theme was to....
Use a Vintage Photo

Recipe
Vintage Photo - Internet
Papers - Graphic 45 'A Ladies Diary'
Spellbinders Floral Oval Die
Joy Crafts Viewmaster Die 6002/0451
Joy Crafts Flourish 6002/0258
Joy Crafts Butterfly Border Die 6002/0251
Go Kreate Large Frilly Frame #10 Die
Pearl Strings
Guipure Lace
Flowers
Gathered Twigs Distress Ink

I really enjoyed myself making this card, although I broke out in a cold sweat making the decision to cut in to my G45 pad that I had been hoarding, but it really suited what I had in mind for this card so I chopped away. The layers were hand stitched and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and I decorated the inside to match the front cutting a white oval for the message.

Crafty Catz - #321 Add Lace
Fussy & Fancy - #162 Female Birthdays
Noor Design - #17 ATG
The Ribbon Girl - April Any Image ATG

How wonderful to reach 60 years together, somehow I don't think hubby and I will make this milestone anniversary - it's our second marriage and by my calculations I will be 96 and my hubby 102!  :o)  but hey, you never know.

Braver Than You Believe!

Hi Crafters,

I love this quote stamp from Inkylicious and thought it was about time I used some of my stash of MDF plaques that have been waiting patiently to be decorated. So here it is...

I painted the plaque with Pebeo matt paint, cut the heart shape from LOTV dotty paper using a set of Xcut dies and heat embossed the glitter edging. Stamped the Inkylicious sentiment and heat embossed this also to make it stand out and added the spray of purple roses together with two die cut Joy Crafts flourishes. To hang it I added a length of frilly edged ribbon.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Deep Ocean Challenge - #127 Dots +/ Stripes
Aud Sentiments - #153 ATG
Brown Sugar - #195 ATG

Well a bit of crafting time for me today whilst it is sleeting outside, hopefully the sun will come out later as I had planned to get out and tidy up the garden today :/

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

Share and 'Oldie' on Friday

Hi Crafters,

I've been relying on scheduled posts this week so I apologise for my lack of commenting recently but hopefully next week will be a little less hectic and I can visit you all.

Today I am here to share an 'old' crafty make and join in with Erika at Snappy Crafts.

This was made some time ago when Papermania brought out their 'Strictly Party' Glitter Toppers
and this is one image from the sheet. The dies are Spellbinders floral oval and a banner die for the sentiment. I can't remember where the spotty paper came from.
If you'd like to join in at Erika's just post an old crafty make, it doesn't have to be a card, but something you have created yourself, visit her blog and link up your project.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
