Bold and Beautiful

Hi Crafters,

Well the weekend is here and hopefully we will go out somewhere today so I'll make this a quick post.

Here are three cards, all using a Sara Davis Antique Edge border die, Phill Martin Sentiment Dies and a few embossing folders and ribbon from my stash.

As You Like It Challenge - Favourite way to add text + why

I love using my dies to add sentiments and text. I have gathered quite a collection together over the years so I can usually find something that fits a particular theme that is asked for. Using dies gives a clean, crisp cut word which works better for me than stamping.

I have made a few examples as I'm trying to get ahead because last year I definitely didn't make as many cards as I would have liked in time for Christmas.

I've used this fun Bugaboo Stamps sentiment, colouring it with my Promarkers and adding Glamour Dust over the letters, I hope you can see the sparkle?

The Tartan paper and ribbon were left over from a Docrafts Christmas collection.

Braver Than You Believe!

Hi Crafters,

I love this quote stamp from Inkylicious and thought it was about time I used some of my stash of MDF plaques that have been waiting patiently to be decorated. So here it is...

I painted the plaque with Pebeo matt paint, cut the heart shape from LOTV dotty paper using a set of Xcut dies and heat embossed the glitter edging. Stamped the Inkylicious sentiment and heat embossed this also to make it stand out and added the spray of purple roses together with two die cut Joy Crafts flourishes. To hang it I added a length of frilly edged ribbon.

Well a bit of crafting time for me today whilst it is sleeting outside, hopefully the sun will come out later as I had planned to get out and tidy up the garden today :/
