Heat Embossing

 Hi Crafters,

I won the challenge at Christmas Craft Creations a few weeks ago and was so pleased to be asked to join them as a Guest Designer for the month of June.

Their theme this month is

HEAT EMBOSSING

I thought I would use the prize that I won on that challenge to create my card as it was a lovely set of Christmas stamps and dies.

I have tried a CAS design this time.

Here it is again but tilted towards the light to hopefully show up all of the gold heat embossed details.

Everything has been heat embossed, the lovely poinsettia outline stamp, then I stamped again and used the dies to cut out the poinsettia layers. These have been coloured using Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Little Red Wagon - #605 Make It CAS

Aud Sentiments - #276 ATG + Sentiment

Alphabet Challenge - E is for Easy, Simple Card

My Time To Craft - #458 Floral

CHNC Every Saturday - #545 ATG Christmas

Thank you for visiting, I will be sharing my second card as Guest Designer using these lovely stamps and dies in a couple of weeks time, hope to see you again.

Christmas ATC Swap

 Hi Crafters,

I hope you have enjoyed the Christmas period as safely as you can. It was a quiet one for us and didn't feel much like Christmas at all but now with 2021 looming and a higher rate of infection than in the first wave we must all continue to do our part in keeping this dreadful disease at bay.

I have been spending time tidying and organising my craft room - it had turned into a disaster zone after the busy lead up to Christmas with all my card making but now I am pleased to say that I can see the worktops and all the draws and shelves are arranged neatly. It feels so much calmer and easier to create when I can find what I need without having to rummage for it :)

I'd like to share a set of Christmas ATC's that I had made for the Christmas swap at Charmed Cards & Crafts. I used my Distress Oxide inks to create the background, then adhered die cut snowflakes cut from glitter card. The candle, poinsettia and holly dies are all cut from 'smooshed' distress oxide backgrounds using Marianne Design dies which I have heat embossed to create some texture and detail. The sentiment stamp is from a Penny Black set called 'Carolling Penguins' which I have heat embossed with gold EP and then cut into sections to fit the ATC. I added Art Glitter and glitter gems to the centres of the poinsettia.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Celebrate

Make My Monday - #138 Create Your Own Background in an Inky Way

Double D Challenge - Poinsettia

Little Red Wagon - #581 Merry Christmas

Crimbo Crackers -#222 ATG

CHNC Every Saturday - #522 ATG Christmas

Country View Challenge - Anything Christmas

It was very cold here this morning but it has brightened up now and I'm feeling quite industrious so I'm off to get started on some Thank You cards and Birthday cards for early January. I'm hoping to pop round some of your blogs later too, see you then.

Christmas Club Challenge #13 Christmas Flowers

Hi Crafters,

The weather has started to warm up here at last and the days are very pleasant but I'm here today to share some Christmas cards for our fortnightly Christmas Card Challenge.
This time Kate asked us to use Christmas Flowers so here are my makes with a running theme of Poinsettias.

This is a digital download with plenty of fussy cutting needed on those flowers.

I've used an Art Sheet image from LOTV and added a glittered wooden sentiment on this card.

I lightly inked the embossing to bring out the wording on this Christmas embossing folder.

And finally an easel card featuring this gorgeous image from a Hunkydory pad.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

to be added

Please take a peek at the other ladies Christmas makes in the group, you can find the links to their blogs under the 'CCC' tab in my sidebar.

Have a lovely Sunday!

Christmas Card Club Challenge #8 Poinsettia/Christmas Greenery

Hi Crafters,

Two weeks have passed by so quickly and I'm here again to share my cards for the Christmas Card Club.
Mary has given us Poinsettias or Christmas Greenery for our theme.

I've created two very different cards this time.
The top one is using a Craft Creations decoupage sheet and some beautiful tartan paper.
The second card uses a Christmas embossing folder from Apple Blossom and TH Tattered Poinsettia Die cut and embossed using pearlescent card which really makes the embossing stand out. I finished off the poinsettia with a Creative Expressions Dazzler.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Take a peek at the other ladies cards in our group by clicking on the links in the tab at the top of my blog. They always have some fabulous Christmas inspiration on their blogs.
I hope you've had a great weekend, the weather has been a little brighter which always helps.

For Mum...

Hi Crafters,

This was the Christmas card that I made for my mum this year, she loves poinsettias and has quite green fingers when keeping them successfully from one year to the next.

I thought I'd make an easel card to show off this lovely Craft Creations decoupage image.
I layered the tartan paper from Craft Sensations on to glitter card for a beautiful sparkling border and used metallic gold card for the rest of the mats and to cut my Britannia Die sentiment. Grossgrain ribbon from stash.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Allsorts Challenge - #447/8 Seasonal Flowers
Crafty Creations - #357 ATG
Fussy & Fancy - #202 Christmas

Christmas Card Club Challenge #5 Poinsettia - Any colour you like.

Hi Crafters,
Can you believe it is the 1st March already?! well it is and it's also another Christmas Challenge at the CCC. This time it was Margaret's turn to choose the theme and she has come up with a lovely challenge of 'Poinsettia' in any colour you like. I decided on cream and gold for my theme and here it is...

Recipe
Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Die
Crafters Companion Christmas Village Die
Dew Drop Brilliance Ink - Galaxy Gold
Brittania Dies - 'Merry Christmas'
Joanna Sheen's Ivy Flourish Die
Glitter Card
Gold Mirri
Gems

This was a very simple card to put together, once the Christmas Village was cut, embossed and inked it was just a case of layering it on to the glitter card and mirri card. Then layering up the poinsettia in the top corner, job done! Hope you like my festive offering today? Do check out the other ladies blogs (list in tab at top of page) for their gorgeous makes too, I read somewhere the other day that it was only 42 weeks to Christmas so we had better crack on with the card making :)

Cute Card Thursday - #362 Fancy Corners
Crafty Catz - #268 Dies and Punches
Completely Christmas - #52 ATG + Add some Texture
