Allsorts Challenge #739/40 - ATG/No Squares

 Hi Crafters,

We have a two week challenge this time at Allsorts so plenty of time to get your entries in and a chance to win a fabulous prize. Check out my post below and the challenge blog for more details.

Here is my NO SQUARES card

I used a fabulously cute kit from CraftsUprint for this fun card for a relative who is going to be the grand age of Two! I fussy cut the elements and layered with 3D foam and created my circle card using a set of Presscut Large Circle Dies. The letters for the name are a Tonic Studio die set and the large number die is from MFT which I cut my own background layer for.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - #686 Shaped Card

The prize this fortnight is a Christmas bundle which will be split between the two winners. Come and join in with us here.

As You Like It Challenge #80 - Big Bows or Little Bows & WHY

Hi Crafters,

Thank you for all the lovely comments here on my blog recently and the well wishes regarding my mum and her hip operation. She is doing very well with her recovery and hopefully will be back to her old self soon. I hope that I have the same outlook and determination when I'm 84!
I am still staying with her for a few more days yet, just popped home for a few things and to write this post, so my regular commenting won't resume just yet, however I can see your comments when the internet works on my phone at her house.

Now on to the business at hand...

A new challenge at As You Like It!
We'd like to see your projects using your favourite BIG or LITTLE BOWS and WHY, please tell us why you have made your choice in your post to be eligible for the prize which brings me nicely to our sponsor for this time...

offering $10 to the lucky winner.

I prefer small bows as I find them easier to tie and less bulky for posting too.

This is a CraftsUprint digital image and background manipulated in MCS program to fit a 7 inch square card.
This card is entirely digital except for the ribbon and bow. I printed the images a few times and layered them up for dimension.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Why not pop over to the blog and see the inspirational and fabulous projects from the other DT members, then come and join in with us, this is a nice and easy challenge as I'm sure we all love to use bows on our projects.

Well that's it from me,

Sharing an Oldie on Friday

Hi Crafters,

Rather late in the day for me to be posting but still time to join in with Erika at Snappy Crafts where each Friday we share an 'Old Crafty Make' just for fun.
These next two cards were created quite a while ago using a 3D decoupage print-out from CraftsUprint.

Both were made just as the instructions suggested but with the added sprinkle of glitter, an organza ribbon bow with pearl brad centre and a peel-off border.
These photo's don't really show the dimension on them very well but I remember that they looked great at the time.
It's good to look back at older creations and see how your individual style has changed. Now I prefer to colour my own images and use designer papers for my cards but there is still a place for decoupage in my crafting too.
Rightio, time for me to link up with Erika on her blog before Friday is over.

Sharing an Oldie on Friday with Erika

Hi Crafters,

Hope you are just fine and dandy, it's Friday and the end of the week so I'm happy!

A quick post today to share an 'Oldie' with Erika at Snappy Crafts.

This card was made for an order 18 months ago which required shoes and handbags as the theme, I think this download from CraftsUprint fitted the bill.

Recipe
CraftUprint - Backing papers, shoes and handbag images.
Gold Peel-offs
Pearls

I sized the background and images to fit my 7 x 7 card and then printed the shoes and handbag a few times for layering.

If you'd like to join in with this fun Friday look back at old crafty projects then give Erika a look on her blog and let her know you are playing along.

Well that's all I have time for today, a busy day ahead finishing off orders for February.  I am very pleased that I have caught up with things that my computer breakdown had set me back with. Lets hope I can keep up the momentum throughout the year! Well that's my plan anyway. :)

See you soon,

Sharing an 'Oldie' on Friday

Hi Crafters,

It's been a busy week here and now it is Friday already! Time to join in with Erika at Snappy Crafts and share an old crafty project just for fun.

Today I have a decoupaged card using an image from CraftsUprint..

..love this fun image and sentiment.
There were several layers if I remember correctly and by the time I had cut them all out I was seeing double. It made for a very dimensional card so when I added the flat-backed toadstools at the bottom they didn't look out of place.

If you would like to join in with us and share a crafty make from the past then post your creation on your blog, give Erika a visit and let her know you have taken part.

I will be back tomorrow with my Christmas Card Club card...

..see you then

Mother's Day Card

Hi Crafters'
Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day to those of you that celebrated it yesterday!
I'd like to share the card that I made for my mum.

Recipe
CraftsUprint decoupage page
Embossalicious Vintage embossing folder
Wild Orchid Crafts Lace
Organza Ribbon
Pearl Brad

This was quite a simple card really, it was the cutting out of the decoupage layers that took most of the time, but very effective none-the-less.
