Sew Happy For You

Hi Crafters,

Well after yesterdays rain I'm hoping for something a little drier today. It doesn't help my mood or creative juices when the weather is so dismal.

Industrial/Steampunk

Hi Crafters,

I have another 'Steampunkesque' card to share with you today. I have played with my alcohol inks and Spellbinders embossing folder for the background together with a few more X-Cut cog dies. These were heat embossed with black EP to look like metal. I then decided to add little red gems to the centres like you see inside a watch...

The background was a mixture of Adirondak Inks in Espresso, Rust and Gold and topped off on the raised embossed parts with black Memento Ink to define them.
The Happy Birthday die is a Memory Box one and it had the same treatment as the cogs. I backed it with gold card to show through the letters. A little matting and layering and it was complete.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Frilly & Funkie - Stamps Be Gone (Vintage, no stamps)
That Craft Place - Steampunk
Cardz 4 Guyz - Embossing, Heat/Dry

A quick post as it's a busy day ahead for me, so I will say goodbye for now and see you soon.

Steampunk Trio

Hi Crafters,

I have been having a sort out in my craft room (a bigger job than I first thought, lol) and came across these fabulous Steampunk toppers from Kanban Crafts that I had forgotten about so I made a few cards with them.

Together with some cog papers, X-Cut and MB cog dies and sentiment stamps I created these cards. I'm really pleased with how they turned out but then again I'm a little biased towards the subject :)

Challenges I'd like to enter:
That Craft Place - Steampunk
NBUS Challenge - #5 ATG (NBUS - Kanban Toppers)
Creative Inspirations - #326 Vintage
Crafty Friends - #14 'B' is for...'BRIDE'

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday - we have enjoyed the sunny weather this morning as it is meant to be wet this afternoon.

See you soon,

Lorraine

Numbers

Hi Crafters,

I've been using my MFT numbers die and a little inspiration from Pinterest and created this card...

Quite a simple design really but very effective I think.

Challenge I'd like to enter:

Cute Card Thursday - #390 Numbers

A fun little make and one I think I will replicate for different ages in the future.

Well that's all from me, a very late post today.

Shabby Chic

Hi Crafters,

This is my second post for today, must be on a roll :)

I have made another card using these beautiful shabby/vintage papers from Michele R Designs. The theme on the papers is sewing so I went with that for the embellishments.

 Recipe
Papers - Michele R Designs - Sew Shabby
Sentiment -  LOTV ~Quotables Set 61
Recycled Lace
Crochet Flower
Paper Doily
Buttons
Twine
Pearl Trim

I distressed and inked the edges of the papers once I had printed them out to complete the shabby feel. Then I layered them up with the doily and lace trims to complete the look. I was given the beautiful crochet flower, I wish I could make these - I've tried and they turn out wonky :/ it's the only one I have but I had to use it here as it seemed perfect for the card.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Come & Get It - Buttons and Bows
Creative Moments - #76 Use A Sentiment
Fab n Funky - #272 Shabby Chic
NBUS Challenge - #5 ATG (New Quote Stamp) and Crochet Flower)
Deep Ocean - #112 Shabby Chic
