Sharing an 'Oldie' on Friday

Hi Crafters,

Friday already!? How did that happen?

This week is flying by and so I am here to join in with Erika's challenge at Snappy Crafts to dig out an old crafty project and share it here.

Recipe
Image - Impression Obsession Stamp - Potting Shed
Coloured with Pro/flexmarkers
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley Stamp
Spellbinders Grand Labels Four
Speciality Papers from my stash
Computer generated sentiment paper
Peel-off Corners
Velvet Ribbon

I love this stamp, it's very detailed but gives a great impression and works beautifully for a male Retirement card I think.

This card is a couple of years old and is one of the last images on my recovered camera disc, so unless I start posting more recent projects this is the last time I will be joining in with Erika. I had so many images of cards and crafty projects that were lost when  my computer died :(

Well I hope you have a great Friday, the weekend is nearly here and I'm still beavering away in my room trying to get ahead of myself.

Take care,

Lorraine

Retirement

Hi Crafters,

I hope you are all well. Today I have a Retirement card to share with you, it was a commissioned one and had the requirements of the house as the main image.

Recipe
Marianne Dies - House CR1217, Tree LR0203
Grass - Magnolia Grass Edger, Cheery Lynn Grass Gorder, Clearly Besotted Fresh Grass Tuft Die
Cat - Impression Obsession Die
Cloud Die - Clearly Besotted Stamps
Sentiment - LOTV
Papers - LOTV Up, Up & Away and Dovecraft Garden Party

I used lots of dies and Distress Inks with this one. Once I had cut out the house I inked through the die with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain then added Versamark ink and clear EP over the walnut stain colour and embossed it. The tree die was cut several times, one for a shadow and two in green so I could harvest the leaves and add to the branches. The sentiment stamp was also embossed and then cut out using the cloud die.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Quirky Crafts - #18 Home Sweet Home
Cardz 4 Guyz - #87 3 of Something (3 Grass Dies)
TTCRD - ATG
Allsorts Challenge - #327 Lots of Layers
Addicted To Stamps - #108 Die Cuts (Stamped Sentiment)

This was a fun card to make, hope you liked it.
I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for the new challenge at 'As You Like It'.

Happy Retirement

Hi Crafters,
I was asked to make a retirement card for my husbands' work colleague and although he doesn't have a specific hobby right now I am sure that when he retires he will soon find some interest to fill the days ahead. So I went for a generic theme on his card and here it is...

I got out my 'All Occasions Dies' by Robert Addams and cut out the tools twice - once in silver mirri and once in a blue cardstock and layered them together to look like real tools. I found a picture of a peg board on the internet and printed this out to 'hang' my tools on. The wood paper is from My Minds Eye (forget which pad) and the sentiment was cut on my Silhouette Cameo in blue cardstock and layered on silver mirri cut to form a shadow. The pegs are tiny black gems that I found in my stash.
Challenges:
A Creative Romance - Anything Goes
Creative Fingers - #60 Anything Goes
Sentimental Sundays - #237 Anything Goes
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Diva's By Design - Anything Goes

Hope you enjoy your day, whatever you get up too.

See you soon,
Lorraine

Happy Retirement

Hi, hope you're seeing the sun today. It's very sunny here albeit a little chilly, but it certainly makes me feel happier.
On to my card for today though, I have been asked to make a retirement card for someone who will be spending their extra time doing up their house. I thought I would use the tools die that I incorporated in my card for yesterday, here's how it turned out.

Card Recipe
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug weave
Woodgrain  paper - MME Howdy Doody 6 x 6 pad
Pegboard - Image from the internet
Tools - Rob Addams Tools Die
Letters - Papermania Urban Stamps Madame Payraud's  'Typewriter'

Challenges:
The Ribbon Girl - Anything Goes

See you all later for a spot of commenting,

Lorraine
