Christmas Card Club Challenge #25 - Use Die Cuts

 Hi Crafters,

It's our last challenge of the year and Shaz has asked us to use 

DIE CUTS

I've been playing with my 'Santa's Helper' set of dies by Sizzix and created this fun little scene. I used an embossing folder from the Apple Blossom range for the background and inked the edges with Distress Ink and then added a festive ribbon.

I still have more cards to make for Christmas even though I've been making them all year. The lockdowns and the fact that shops have been closed has sent more card orders my way as folks were having a difficult job finding greetings cards that they needed so I have been really busy this year....still it's kept me occupied and the time has gone so quickly. We are only 3 weeks away from the Big Day so I'd better get my skates on as they say.

I'm a bit disappointed with my photo, it doesn't show the pretty shimmer and glitter on the candle flames and wings. I took several and where the glitter was showing then the image was washed out - it's always tricky to capture it - so you'll just have to use your imagination :o) but there's glitter card and Cosmic Shimmer Glitter on the snow and fur trims.

Christmas Card Club Challenge #23 - Stencils

 Hi Crafters,

Rachel gave us a mixed media challenge this week to use stencils on our Christmas cards.

Here are my offerings....

I used an MFT Graduated Stars Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks for the background on this card. Then I sprayed some Pearl Diamond Sparkle Spray from Crafters Companion through the stencil while it was still in place. The die is called 'Trimming The Tree' by Pretty Quick Designs.

These were made using a Tim Holtz stencil called 'Holiday Knit' and texture paste - I need a little more practice I think, there are a few squidges lol. The sentiment die cuts are a Duo Die set.

My blogging has become rather erratic during this year, it isn't my intention to go days without popping on here but that's what's happening. The days just get sucked up with all sorts of things right now but I will endeavour to try harder and get here more often. I do appreciate all my followers, their visits and comments and thank you for your time spent here today.

Christmas Card Club Challenge #22 Snowman Or Snowmen

 Hi Crafters,

Sunday crept up on me this week and I'm a little late posting my cards for the new challenge at our friendly Christmas Card Club. Margaret would like to see cards with snowmen on them so here are my offerings.....

These cute pair are from CraftsUprint which I have layered up with 3D foam. The papers are some of the new digital ones from LOTV

 

Here they are again on their original background that comes in the download.

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I've used an old snowman stamp that I had in my stash, Tim Holtz Snowflake border die and the sentiment is from Stampin'Up.

...and lastly my favourite little snowman of all - Snowy by Penny Black, coloured with Promarkers and layered on to more LOTV papers, this time from a paper pad that I have been hoarding :o) and using Carnation Crafts Shabby Squares Frame dies.
