613 Avenue Create Challenge - Holiday Happiness

Hi Crafters,

It is a sad post today as this is my last inspirational project for 613 Avenue Create.
I have been a part of this fabulous design team for almost three years now so this was a very difficult decision to make as I have enjoyed every minute of my time there. Everyone has been so friendly and kind and although I shall miss being part of this fabulous team I shall still be in contact with them in Blogland.
I had spread myself too thin, trying to keep all the plates spinning at once and finding it a struggle so some things had to change.
Over the next couple of weeks you will see my posts where I will be stepping down from three teams.

Now for this months challenge at 613 Avenue Create we are wanting to see your cards and projects depicting
'Holiday Happiness'

Image - Christmas Trio Blocks - Bugaboo Stamps
Medium - Promarkers
Cottage Cutz Stitched Rectangle Dies
Apple Blossom Letter Dies
Britannia Merry Christmas Die
Kanban Ho Ho Ho Paper

I printed the images twice, coloured and cut them out to layer them up from the frame.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Dies R Us - #62 Christmas
Deep Ocean - #143 Santa is Coming to Town
Try It on Tuesday - Layer It Up

This is such a fab fun card. I know exactly what you mean, never know how some people manage to be on so many DTs, nor why they want to be. I love the three I am on, have cut down enormously on the challenges I enter too which gives me a bit more time to comment on blogs. Only so many hours in the day. Enjoy your Sunday x

This card is so cute Lorraine! I love the images and your colouring is beautiful! I always try to tell myself that we craft as it is our wonderful hobby and to be pressured into making things to meed deadlines for our DTs takes away the fun and enjoyment. Although I am on a fair few DTs most of them only require one card per month which isn't so bad.

Hi Lorraine,
I did wonder how some of you ladies manage to be on the DT of quite a few blogs.
I can just manage one, beacuse I have a big family to make cards for, and few people that like me to make them some too.
I love your card as it's so happy and lovely with those delightful images.
Great designing too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hello Lorraine, absolutely fabulous card, love all the little characters in their frames, brilliantly designed and the bright bold colours are marvellous.
You know what is best for you and the DT roles are a big committment and time consumming. I don't do any now and only enter one challenge on a regular basis, unless the card I'm making fits the bill, so enjoy the extra time giving up some roles gives you, Kate x

The collage design is so much fun. Bugaboo has some really cute character images. Fantastic card. I totally understand your need to step down from several teams. Time seems to be in short commodity these days and unfortunately our hobbies need to take a back burner. Wishing you all the best. Hugs!

This is a totally stunning card Lorraine...colouring and cutting out all those images must have taken a while but they do look wonderful in the die cut frames. I love the bold funkiness of this design and the way you arranged the frames :-)
Big hugs, Kat xx

Ooops, I meant to say...I totally know where you are coming from with all the DT work and I had to prune my commitments a little as well lately. I love doing the DT work but I was running out of time for 'me' crafting especially being back in work again.
I hope you enjoy the extra time!
Big hugs, Kat xx

Lovely Christmas card as always Lorraine, I really like the use of layers here.
I totally get where you are coming from regarding DT work as I have had to prune myself in the past. It's so easy to say yes when asked, but sometimes we just take on too much, or maybe circumstances change and it should never feel like a job.
I love the DTs I'm on currently and they are all really understanding and supporting too which helps a lot, but I am really careful now not to overstretch myself with too many DTs.
I hope you manage to find your balance and I am sure we will still see lots of wonderful creations from you in future :) xx
