Teddy's are bears, Polar bears are bears - so same thing, right?
Hi Crafters,
This is the dilemma I had when making my card for our Christmas card club using the theme set by Sue P this time. I didn't own a Christmas Teddy bear stamp or digital image and I didn't want to have to buy one so... ...firstly I used a magazine freebie stamp that I have had for ages and never used, it's an old DoCrafts one I think. This is actually of a Christmas dog and thought this might pass for a Teddy, but alas the stamp has a lot of shading on it and when I coloured it with my Promarkers I wasn't very happy with how it turned out. Then I remembered a Lily of the Valley stamp in my box called 'Snow Buddies' and this is the only bear I have remotely connected to Christmas, so sorry Sue for changing it up a little but here he is....
I have used my SB hexagon dies, some bakers twine, a Dreamees sentiment, my Promarkers, Marianne Designs snowflake die and a present charm. The background paper is from a Dovecraft Christmas pad. Here is a close up of the gorgeous bear with his Christmas present - so sweet.

P.S. Here is my poor Christmas Dog reject card... ...don't laugh too much he's a bit sensitive :)
.... and he definitely doesn't look like he's having the 'most wonderful time' does he? :/

I really do have a thing about animals (as my friends will tell you) so as far as I am concerned these are both gorgeous and the doggy does look very cuddly! As for the polar BEAR - there you have it, he is gorgeous too and another of my favourite animals so I love both of your cards Lorraine - they are beautiful.
Hugs to you Sue Pxxx
Thank you for doing your 'bestest' lol!!!
A polar is absolutely a bear Lorraine - and a gorgeous one he is too! Both cards are great! Hugs Christine xx
I nearly used a polar bear for my CCC card - I love yours and think it's just right for Sue's challenge - and thanks for sharing for all of my Craftyhazelnut challenges - hope to see you there again soon. x
I did think of using a polar bear too. I think your doggy image looks like a bear so both of your cards are perfect or Sue's theme. Hugs Mrs A.

I LOVE that ivy die! Just the perfect size.
Me again...forgot to commenton the beautiful polar bear. I think he fits the brief...that present balanced on his nose is adorable!!!
PS Those hexagon dies look great on this card!
A bear is a bear and I so wish I had thought of this lol! I am not cutesy bear girl lol! Unless it is a polar or a Coke bear! Two beautiful cards and no idea why the second one is a reject. Have a lovely day Karen x
I love both your cards as bears and in particular polar bears are favourites of mine and so are dogs. Thanks for sharing both. Zx

Fabulous card.... Didn't think of Polar Bears.....
Gorgeous as always...
Hugs Sylvie xxx
Two great cards Lorraine, love your polar bear the layout is fab. cute lil doggie too. Carol x
Indeed, I think both images (and cards) are totally adorable. The Teddy dog made me smile, and hey, it 'could pass' for a Ted. The polar bear was inspired, as it's a bear, he has a present, and he's simply cute as can be. Teddies are teddies, no matter the species. Love the hexagon shaping, so much added interest. I am enjoying reading how members have adapted and created to meet the challenge. Great job. Great card. TFS & Hugs
