I Spy Something Beginning with 'B' At Allsorts Challenge #758

 Hi Crafters,

This week we are playing 'I Spy' at Allsorts. I used to love playing this game as a child when we were on a long car journey did you?

We'd like to see elements on your project beginning with the letter 'B', or you can go with the Anything Goes option.

I have created some ATC's to share...

...here's a close up of just one of them.

I used a Tattered Lace embossing folder for the background after inking the sky and die cutting the shaped ATC. I then inked through a stencil and used gold embossing powder on the balloon. The basket is made from pieces of corrugated cardboard punched with a Stampin' Up Label Punch and then cut in half. I added some metal tags from my stash which I've had for an eternity.

Prizes for the next two challenges are from :

Take a peek at the challenge blog for inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and get your entries in by next Friday.

Take care and have fun!

Allsorts Challenge #666 - ATG with option To Distress

 Hi Crafters,

It's the weekend and here we are again with a new challenge for Allsorts.

This week our theme is a nice and easy ANYTHING GOES with the option to DISTRESS

I have created a set of vintage and distressed ATC's

The background layer has been distressed, stamped, inked and crackle paste added through a stencil and there's even some embossing powder (Frantage) on there too. I loved using the lace underneath this layer to add more of a vintage feel. The frames have been die cut and heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

to be added

We have two prizes again this week.....

A £15 store voucher from Stamp Addicts
and this lovely Tattered Lace Die from the Pastel Haven range.

The Design Team have been busy as always and created some lovely projects to inspire you, take a look at them here. They are looking forward to seeing what you create, so come and join in the fun!

Gnomes

 Hi Crafters,

I recently entered a swap on Facebook with the Gecko Galz Papercrafting Challenge Group. The theme for this ATC challenge was Gnomes and we were given several images to work with to create 3 ATC's to send to our partners.

Here is my set...

...and here they are individually

I used various techniques, stamping, texture paste, glass beads, heat embossing and inking around the edges. I added some die cut Sizzix mushrooms to complement the background images and the sign post and fence elements are from a Stamps with Me stamp set.

I received a fabulous set in return from my swap partner Carole Jones.

She even decorated the mini pocket letter sleeve that housed them. I have a way to go before I reach this standard but I really enjoyed participating in the swap and look forward to the next one.

I'd like to enter my ATC's into the challenge at Simon Says Stamp this week.

Well, that's it for today, see you again soon,

Lorraine

Allsorts Challenge #650 - Christmas

 Hi Crafters,

Christmas is only 6 more Saturdays away!

That's a bit of a shock to the system, I knew it was getting close but counting it up on the calendar gave me a bit of a turn - I'm not ready!

I have started to buy some presents and thankfully I don't have too many to get so that can easily be achieved but although I make Christmas cards all year round I always find that I am still short of some and then there's a scrabble to get enough made to cover everyone. Perhaps I should have made a card instead of these Christmas ATC's but I wanted to enter a swap with them and these are also my design team inspiration for the new challenge at ALLSORTS this week for their Christmas theme.

I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the background and dies for the reindeer and fir tree. I heat embossed some Shabby white embossing powder on to the background to resemble snow. The sentiment has also been heat embossed in gold and the mini gold glitter pegs have been in my stash for years. I thought each reindeer deserved a jingle bell so added that with a piece of shimmery twine.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - #617 Christmas
Aud Sentiments - #287 ATG Christmas + Sentiment
Pearly Sparkles Challenge - #68 Merry Christmas

We have two great prizes for the lucky winners this week...

Christmas Ribbons and Embellies

and

3 images of the winners choice from...

Please take a look at the rest of the Design Team makes here for more inspiration.

I hope to see you again soon, thank you for popping by,

Christmas ATC Swap

 Hi Crafters,

I hope you have enjoyed the Christmas period as safely as you can. It was a quiet one for us and didn't feel much like Christmas at all but now with 2021 looming and a higher rate of infection than in the first wave we must all continue to do our part in keeping this dreadful disease at bay.

I have been spending time tidying and organising my craft room - it had turned into a disaster zone after the busy lead up to Christmas with all my card making but now I am pleased to say that I can see the worktops and all the draws and shelves are arranged neatly. It feels so much calmer and easier to create when I can find what I need without having to rummage for it :)

I'd like to share a set of Christmas ATC's that I had made for the Christmas swap at Charmed Cards & Crafts. I used my Distress Oxide inks to create the background, then adhered die cut snowflakes cut from glitter card. The candle, poinsettia and holly dies are all cut from 'smooshed' distress oxide backgrounds using Marianne Design dies which I have heat embossed to create some texture and detail. The sentiment stamp is from a Penny Black set called 'Carolling Penguins' which I have heat embossed with gold EP and then cut into sections to fit the ATC. I added Art Glitter and glitter gems to the centres of the poinsettia.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Celebrate

Make My Monday - #138 Create Your Own Background in an Inky Way

Double D Challenge - Poinsettia

Little Red Wagon - #581 Merry Christmas

Crimbo Crackers -#222 ATG

CHNC Every Saturday - #522 ATG Christmas

Country View Challenge - Anything Christmas

It was very cold here this morning but it has brightened up now and I'm feeling quite industrious so I'm off to get started on some Thank You cards and Birthday cards for early January. I'm hoping to pop round some of your blogs later too, see you then.

ATC Swap - The Best Thing About Lock-down

Hi Crafters,

Monday morning again, these weeks roll round very fast and the time seems to be racing by for me.
I have some ATC's to share with you today which were for the swap at Charmed Cards and Craft.
Our theme this month was....
The Best Thing About Lock-down

As you can see I have enjoyed the extra time in my craft room that lock-down has brought. It has allowed me to comfortably complete my customer card orders and have time to spare to create and express my own art. It has been lovely to just let my artistic juices flow in whatever direction they wish to go.

Here's a close up.

I created my background using Distress Oxide inks, after giving it a coat of matte medium I stamped the script and added the white splatters. The alarm clock is a Joy Crafts die which has been cut from an 'ink smooched' background, dry embossed then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment was created on the computer and cut apart. I then added twine and lace and those gorgeous little blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts. The wooden shapes behind the clock are from a Recollections pack that I have had for years.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Love To Craft - #48 ATG
Country View Challenges - Do What Makes You Happy
Craft-Dee Bowz - ATG +Bow
More Mixed Media - July ATG optional Pastel
SSS Wednesday Challenge - Bright and Cheerful

These are the swaps that I received in return and as you can see lots of us have been making the most of this awful situation we are in and escaping in to our crafts.

Well that's all from me today,
see you again soon.
