Christmas Card Challenge #7 - Cute Christmas

Hi Crafters,
Today we have our challenge at the CCC and it is Cute Christmas. I decided to ink up a neglected stamp from Lili of the Valley - 'Christmas Star', I had forgotten I had this one. Some might say it's because I have too many stamps (mentioning no names - Hubby, lol) but I say it's because it was hidden behind another larger stamp, and I'm sticking to that.
Well here she is.....

6x6 card blank
Christmas Star Stamp - Lili of the Valley
Promarkers
Digi Papers - Just So Scrappy Too
Kraft Card embossed with snowflakes
Cheery Lynn snowflake die
Glamour dust
Sentiment - Papermania Urban Stamps 'Home For Christmas'

Challenges:
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes #15
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Get Krafty
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Completely Christmas - Anything Goes #5
CHNCC - Anything Goes
Sketch Saturday - Sketch #216

Although yet again this was a last minute make, I seem to be on catch-up with everything at the moment, I really enjoyed colouring this little image and the layout is a sketch I followed so that took some of the thinking out of it, lol.
I'm entering this in to some challenges which I will edit later as it's Mother's Day and we have some family plans and time has run out on me again. I really needed an extra hour this weekend, not lose one, nevermind. Hope you all enjoy your M' Day.
I will be round for a catch up with your blogs later,

See you soon,

Spring Flowers

Hi Crafters,
I've been trying to use some of my dies that have been neglected and I saw a card on my fellow CCC members blog Sylvie and remembered that I had that die so here is my take on Sylvie's inspirational card.

It's a Spellbinder Fleur De Lis Pendant Die.
The centre doily die is a Marianne Craftables die.
I've added clear rhinestones in the centre of each pendant die shape and on the sentiment for interest. To finish it off I added Wild Orchid Craft flowers and the leaves are a Magnolia die I believe.

I'm entering this in to these challenges:
A Creative Romance - Spring Flowers
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes #224

Well it's late and I'm off to bed so see you all again soon,

Docrafts Papermania 'Bellisima'

Hi Crafters,
Hope you are all well and enjoying a little bit of sunshine in your part of the world. Recently I have been trying to shake off a virus which is a persistent little beggar and just when you think you are feeling better it rears it's ugly head again and knocks me back. This is why I haven't been posting on my blog as frequently as I have in the past, I just haven't had the energy or enthusiasm to create much. However, I still have orders to complete so I have chosen to use the new die-cut decoupage sets from Docrafts to help me out with my mojo. This new range is called Bellisima and is very subtle in colour and great for these three Mother's Day cards that I had been asked for.
Sorry about the light in this photo but one minute the sun was out and the next it was cloudy so it is what it is.
Here they are individually-

All the layers are already die-cut for you so it's just a case of pushing them out of the backing sheet and layering them up, then I added some glamour dust on the decoupage and various parts of the card to make it sparkle. The backing papers came in the kit too but I used various dies from my stash to make the frames and sentiment labels. I'm loving this little corner die from 'La La Land Crafts' at the moment, it's very dainty and looked just right for these feminine cards.
I'm entering these in to the challenge at TTCRD - Anything Goes.

Enjoy your evening folks!

Simply Gorjuss

Hi Crafters,
Today was my youngest daughter's 21st Birthday. Where has the time gone? We all had a lovely meal out this evening and are now relaxing back at home.
Here is the card I made for her using her favourite colours - Teal and purple.
The new Gorjuss stamps and papers seemed to fit really well with this colour scheme so I coloured this lovely image up to match the theme.

I used lots of techniques on her card, the chequered background was made using an Inky Doodles  mask, firstly I distress inked some white card with Peacock Feathers and Dusty Concord, then placed the mask over it and inked through it with Pine Needles DI. I later used Versamark ink to highlight the pattern and clear embossed it. The scalloped border is a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page punch and the die cut numbers are an MFT die. I stamped and black embossed the frame, cut out the centre and used some of the rich papers in the new kit to fill the frame - I also stamped one of the grassy border stamps around the oval for some detail. The girl and her pets are from different stamp sets but I stamped and cut them out after colouring and raised them on foam dots. The heart ribbon also comes in the range and the heart journal piece is also a stamp that I coloured to match the muted tones of the collection. The flowers I have had in my stash for a while but I sprayed the large one with Cosmic Shimmer Mists in 'Purple Violet' and 'Plum Twist' to achieve the right colour.

I'm entering this in to the following challenges:
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - For Mum / or a Girlie

I hope you enjoy the rest of the evening and see you soon,

Lorraine

Christmas Card Club - Better Late Than Never :)

Hello Crafters,
Firstly I'd like to thank everyone for the lovely get well wishes and comments yesterday, it really touched me to know that you are all thinking of me. I am feeling much better with every day that passes by and I'm hoping that I will be able to enjoy my trip to the Birmingham NEC on Thursday, it's been booked for ages and I was really looking forward to it. Hubby is coming with me of course,- he always jokes and says he is the most knowledgeable non-crafter around as he takes me to lots of fairs and to the NEC twice a year and dutifully follows me in and out of the stands and carries all my goodies for me, bless him.
So on with the reason I am here tonight -  my Christmas card for the challenge at CCC. Christine set the theme for this one and it was 'Lets See Some Wings'.

This stamp is from Crafters Companion and is called 'Angelica' and although she isn't specifically for Christmas I thought the gift she was holding and her wings made her fit the bill as a Christmas Angel. She is coloured with my Promarkers and her wings are Glamour Dusted. I embossed the backing card with a free embossing folder from a magazine, die cut the scalloped and plain circles, added some glitter ribbon, pearls and a greeting. Oh and the snowflakes are from my Cheery Lynn snowflake die.

I'd like to enter this into the Completely Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes #3
CHNC - Anything Christmas
Winter Wonderland - Girls, Girls, Girls.

Hope you all have a lovely evening,
See you soon,

Lorraine

Christmas Card Club Challenge #6 - Coming Soon.

Hi Crafters,
Just a quick post to apologise to the other ladies in the CCC about being late for todays challenge theme - 'Lets See Some Wings'. As you may know I was quite poorly for about 10 days and I'm afraid that I am a little bit behind with things, but I'm working on a card now and it will be shown tomorrow.
Will try and catch up with your blogs today and tomorrow.
See you then,

Lorraine
