Ooops ... One Week Late...

Hi Crafters,

This is my card for the Christmas Card Club Challenge that was set last week.
A little late but here now none-the-less and I'm sure the other ladies will forgive me.
I wanted to keep up with the regular Christmas card making each fortnight, so here is my card using '2 or more Patterned Papers'

I'm using another one of these fabulous toppers from Lili of the Valley, lots of gold mirri card and some papers from the Papermania Christmas Time Pad.
Britannia Word Dies

Gems
Ribbon

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Wasn't yesterday a beautiful day! Just gorgeous, the sunshine was very much appreciated and a promise that Spring has arrived. It's a shame that the rest of the Easter weekend isn't going to follow suit, never mind.

Well enjoy your day!

Art Pad Calendars

Hi Crafters,

As it's already three weeks in to January I thought it was time I shared  the calendars that I made at the end of last year!
I would have shown them before but with all the issues I've had of late with my old computer crashing and then this new one I thought the photo's were gone....
...but good news, most of my files were recovered. I lost a few things but not nearly as much as I'd first thought and these photo's were among them.

Both were made with LOTV Art Pad images and some pretty die cuts and papers.

I had one calendar booklet left and so decided to make an MDF hanging one.

This has the dinky measurement of 12cm x 9cm and looks really cute hanging from a magnet on my fridge door.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Crafty Girlz - #11 ATG

It's started off the day very frosty and cold but bright and dry, just how I like it - so chores done, I'm off to play in my craft room.

Megan is 3 !

Hi Crafters,

Thank you for visiting today - it's lovely to see you here.
Cute little Maisie from Lili of the Valley is the focal piece on my card for today but I think she is now discontinued as I can't find her in the shop :(
She was the perfect image needed for this commissioned card order and the colours requested were purple and lime green so the LOTV Bonnets and Bowties paper pad were perfect too.

Hi Crafters
Just popping in to share a couple of quick cards that I have been making for my stall. I have two Craft Fairs coming up and I haven't seen daylight trying to make enough stock. Still it hasn't really been daylight these past few days, it's so dismal here at the moment. These cards should cheer you up though -

The idea for these came from Mrs B's Blog where I saw some gorgeous Thank You cards that Lorraine had made using the LOTV Art Pads, you can find her post HERE.
I added a little bit of glitter here and there, some Britannia die-cut words, ribbon and bling.
I'd like to enter in to these challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar - #122 Anything Goes
Sister Act - #85 Anything Goes

See you soon,

Practising Colouring Balloons

Hi Everyone,
I've had this gorgeous little Lili of the Valley stamp in my stash for ages and haven't used it before - shame on me -  so I thought I had better ink it up and colour it today. The balloons were a challenge to colour because I wanted to be able to see through the front one and make it translucent. So I have been practising and made two cards to show today and another that I will share tomorrow.

This is 'Maisie Two Balloons' and isn't she a sweetie !
I coloured her and the balloons with my Promarkers but paper pieced the dress using a design paper from 'The Shabby Shack' paper pad, also from Lili of the Valley.
Both papers on this card were from the same pad. I embossed the green one with a Stampin'Up embossing folder.
The little banners are MFT dies and that's an LOTV sentiment stamp too.
Then I glittered around the image with glamour dust, something I picked up from Dawny P.
Challenges,
Sketch Saturday - #332
Come And Get It - Childs Card
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Sister Act - #79 Anything Goes
Creative Fingers - #53 Anything Goes
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - #51 ATG + twist Add Pink
LOTV Ideas To Inspire - Anything Goes
(embossing, sentiment, sparkle)

My second card is along the same theme but with an orange and yellow colour scheme.

So this card is similar but uses My Minds Eye papers - 'The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine' and some cut apart banners from the pad with a few MME enamel dots thrown in for good measure.

Challenges
Come And Get It - Childs Card
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Sister Act - #79 Anything Goes
LOTV Ideas To Inspire - Anything Goes
CHNC Patterned Paper Challenge - October challenge

So glad you could visit me this evening, please join me again tomorrow for another 'Maisie' card.

Bye for now,

Lorraine

Land Ahoy ! ..... and some FABULOUS News !!!!!!

Hi Crafters,

This card was made for my great Nephew who was the grand age of SIX yesterday and I do hope that he had a fabulous time.

This Lili of the Valley image, 'Land Ahoy !' was so much fun to colour with my Promarkers and to keep with the nautical theme I thought I'd make a porthole using silver eyelets to surround the image. The background papers are both  freebie digi's that I have had for a long time, the wave die is from La La Land Crafts and I have glittered the top edges. A couple of Doohickey Swirl dies to frame the focal image and some banners cut with a Verve banner die to display his age. I did emboss this with clear embossing powder to make it glossy but it's not showing here. To finish it off I stamped and embossed an LOTV circle sentiment and added large, red brads.
As there are two LOTV products used I would like to enter my card in to their challenge this month.

Sister Act - #67 Anything Goes
Penny Black and More - July challenge - Dies and Punches
Scribble & Scrap - #23 Anything Goes
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Deep Ocean Challenge - #82 Lot of Layers

Now for the fabulous news !
I had a lovely email a couple of days ago from Kathi who is the co-owner of 613 Avenue Create Weekly Challenge blog asking if I would like to join their Design Team !
Well as you can imagine after I came back down from the ceiling I emailed her straight back and was delighted to accept the post. I have been blogging for nearly a year now and this will be my first DT post and I am so very excited if a little nervous but thrilled to be chosen, thanks Kathi. I will be starting next month so wish me luck !

See you all soon,

Lorraine

Christmas Card Challenge #7 - Cute Christmas

Hi Crafters,
Today we have our challenge at the CCC and it is Cute Christmas. I decided to ink up a neglected stamp from Lili of the Valley - 'Christmas Star', I had forgotten I had this one. Some might say it's because I have too many stamps (mentioning no names - Hubby, lol) but I say it's because it was hidden behind another larger stamp, and I'm sticking to that.
Well here she is.....

6x6 card blank
Christmas Star Stamp - Lili of the Valley
Promarkers
Digi Papers - Just So Scrappy Too
Kraft Card embossed with snowflakes
Cheery Lynn snowflake die
Glamour dust
Sentiment - Papermania Urban Stamps 'Home For Christmas'

Challenges:
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes #15
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Get Krafty
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Completely Christmas - Anything Goes #5
CHNCC - Anything Goes
Sketch Saturday - Sketch #216

Although yet again this was a last minute make, I seem to be on catch-up with everything at the moment, I really enjoyed colouring this little image and the layout is a sketch I followed so that took some of the thinking out of it, lol.
I'm entering this in to some challenges which I will edit later as it's Mother's Day and we have some family plans and time has run out on me again. I really needed an extra hour this weekend, not lose one, nevermind. Hope you all enjoy your M' Day.
I will be round for a catch up with your blogs later,

See you soon,

Lorraine

LOTV - Getting Ready

Hi Crafters,
I've seen a few people using the 'no line' stamping technique and thought I would like to try it. Well I'm not doing it again though....first I chose a light ink and stamped my image - Getting Ready - by LOTV....then I began colouring with my Promarkers....but, and I know this was the whole point, but I couldn't see the lines and was having a real problem knowing where one section started and another finished. So in the end I had to use my Copic Multi-liner pen and draw the outline of the stamped image over the top, hence the rather wobbly impression of what should be a lovely clean stamp. Never mind, nothing ventured, nothing gained at least I've learnt that technique is not for me, lol.
I thought I would share it with you anyway...
I'm entering in to these challenges:
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Addicted To Stamps - Pink and White

Thanks for popping in.
