I'm glad to be up and running again after my computer troubles. I didn't appreciate just how much 'stuff' I had stored on my computer which wasn't backed up. When problems have occurred in the past there has always been a way to recover certain my files/documents/desktop etc. but this time it was completely gone. I had copied all my purchased files for card making etc. on to an external hard drive but there were documents and files on my graphics program that I use for creating/designing cards and things for the Farmers Market that I manage that I had not saved elsewhere which have all been lost. :o(  Needless to say I now have a stack of stick drives to copy things too as well as my external hard drive - lesson learnt but it has taken me all week to get back to some sort of starting point where I can resume normal activities.

Well I hope you have a lovely day, maybe enjoying the sunshine, it's lovely to finally have a bit of warmth here.

Happy Birthday Mum!

 Hi Crafters,

This card was made for my Mum's Birthday.

She is 91 years young today!

...and as you can see her favourite colour is blue so I thought that this blue Hydrangea Charisma and die set from Tattered Lace would be prefect for her card. I also used some other dies in the Tattered Lace Collection - Lovers of Lace Heart Frame, Hemstitch Square, Leaving a Trail and Oh So Floral dies.

I'm so lucky to still have my mum with us and in fine fettle too, I will be going to see her later today, we always have a lovely chat and put the world to rights along the way.

Another short and sweet post from me today as I'm still really not feeling well after this bout of Flu. I'm feeling very lethargic and have painful sinuses which are limiting my screen time but thank you to those who have left get well messages over the past few days, they have cheered me up.

This card is one that I had made and coloured ahead of time and I'm so glad that I did.

Allsorts 13th Birthday Challenge #677

 Hi Crafters,

The teal flower has been in my stash for years and matched the cardstock perfectly so it had to be.

Stars and Sequins

Hi Crafters,

I couldn't resist another shaker card, this time for a 5 year old.

A glitter background and lots of stars seemed perfect for this fun boys card. My '5' was cut using a large Tonic Studio die and using the waste for the shaker frame.

Congratulations!

Hi Crafters,

For my personalised card below I used a couple of digital sentiments from TLC Creations and printed them on to my backing papers. I really like circular sentiments they add a certain something extra to any design I think. The perfume bottle dies are a Lea'bilities set and the large number dies are Memory Box.

Oh to be Eighteen again :)

88 Years Young!

Hi Crafters,

It's my Mum's birthday today and she is 88 years young!

This is the card I created for her.

She loves Shire horses and this image was perfect for her card.

I used my Tattered Lace Dies and matching 3D Charisma CD rom for the flowers. Tattered Lace sentiment die and Britannia 'Mum' die.

I love using my dies to add sentiments and text. I have gathered quite a collection together over the years so I can usually find something that fits a particular theme that is asked for. Using dies gives a clean, crisp cut word which works better for me than stamping.

Giddy-up!

Hi Crafters,

A cute little Hobby House topper for today's card.

Another simple card using a Hobby House topper and DP that's been in my stash for ages.

I've chosen red gingham ribbon and pearlescent blue card stock for the die cuts and punched out two corner details using an EK Success punch.
