Share and 'Oldie' on Friday

Hi Crafters,

I've been relying on scheduled posts this week so I apologise for my lack of commenting recently but hopefully next week will be a little less hectic and I can visit you all.

Today I am here to share an 'old' crafty make and join in with Erika at Snappy Crafts.

This was made some time ago when Papermania brought out their 'Strictly Party' Glitter Toppers
and this is one image from the sheet. The dies are Spellbinders floral oval and a banner die for the sentiment. I can't remember where the spotty paper came from.
If you'd like to join in at Erika's just post an old crafty make, it doesn't have to be a card, but something you have created yourself, visit her blog and link up your project.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Another Father's Day Card

Hi Crafters,

It's taking me a while to get back in to my stride since returning from my holiday but here is another Father's Day card that I made before I went away..

Recipe
Image - Papermania Stamp Set - Nostalgia 'Classic Cars'
Distress Inks
Heidi Swapp Large Background Chevron Stamp
White Embossing Powder
Verve Sentiment Stamp
Stampin' Up Word Window Punch
Star Brads

This card is similar in design to my previous Father's Day card but I swapped the image for a Porsche and heat embossed the background stamp with white embossing powder then used Distress ink over that.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Crafty Card Makers and More - #141 For a Man or a Boy
Sentimental Sunday - #264 Happy Father's Day/ Manly Cards
OSAAT - #239 ATG with Men
Creative Moments - #70 ATG/Father's Day
One Crazy Stamper - June ATG
Little Claire Designs - #58 Father's Day

Well that's all from me, I do hope that tomorrow brings some sunshine, I'm fed up with the heavy rain showers of today.  Up side, I was able to get some cards made for the two craft fairs I have coming up on Friday and Saturday though as I was stuck in my room.
Have a fab evening.

Father's Day Card

Hi Crafters,

I started making some Father's Day cards for my stall last month but they sold and I have been asked for some more so here is one that I made yesterday..

 Recipe
Image - Papermania Stamp Set - Nostalgia 'Classic Cars'
Distress Inks
Verve Sentiment Stamp
SB Fancy Tags Die
Star Brads
Embossalicious Embossing Folder - 'Gun Metal'

I had some more inky fun yesterday with this card using the 'letterpress' technique. Firstly I inked up the embossing folder with Black soot DI before I embossed the card to get the ink on to the relief part of the pattern and then used Pumice Stone DI to highlight the raised parts of the pattern. The image was stamped and heat embossed so I could ink around it with Barn Door and Aged Mahogany DI and then spritz with water without affecting the stamped image. A little more Pumice Stone on the image and around the sentiment and that was it, just a case of putting it all together.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Cardz 4 Guyz - #74 Texture
Brown Sugar - #49 ATG
Sentimental Sundays - #262 A Touch Of Vintage
Papertake Weekly - Something For The Boys
Crafty Creations - #291 Embossing
Creative Moments - #70 ATG / Masculine Creation

Thanks for joining me today, I do love to read your comments and will be round to visit you later.

Bye for now,

Keeping Busy?

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well and busy crafting. I've been visiting your blogs as and when I can over the last few days and there have been some beautiful projects to fire up the creative juices.
I have been creating myself but I can't show most of them just yet, some are DT cards and some are for Birthdays that haven't happened yet so I can't spoil the surprise for the recipients. I can however share these two little lovelies....

Both of these are made from a Papermania Decoupage pack
On the first one I added some die cuts to the design -
Marianne Designs Creatables LR0279 & LR0280
MFT Rolled flower die
Joy Crafts flower die
I cut these die cuts and the flowers from the peach coloured packaging and inked through the die (the corners) to give it dimension. This backing card was the perfect match and if you look closely you can see the little butterfly design from the pack.
The second card just has the die cut shapes from the pack although I did make the rosette.
Aren't these images so girly? Handbags and dresses, what more could a girl ask for? :0)
Challenges
Scribble & Scrap - # 25 Anything Goes
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - To Die For
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - #107 Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - #70 Anything Goes
Creative Fingers - #45 Anything Goes
Suzy Bees Bloomin' Challenge - #42 Anything Goes
Crafty Catz - #244 Recycle It (Peach coloured die cuts are from the packaging)

That's all from me today, thanks for looking in, I'll see you soon,

Christmas Card Club #16 - Trees

Hi Crafters,
The weeks soon roll by and it's time for our friendly Christmas Card Club challenge. This time it is Sylvie's turn to choose a theme and she chose ' Trees ' somewhere on your card. Now I thought about making a CAS card this time as I like a challenge :) however it started off as CAS and ended up as slightly more involved. Each time I looked at it I felt I needed to add a bit more of something, anyhow this is how it turned out...

The stamped trees are from an old Papermania stamp set together with the sentiment. I used DI for the land and sky and added some shabby white Frantage to give the impression of snow. The organza ribbon, button and charm are from my stash.
Challenges:
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - It's A Jolly Holiday
Crafty Catz - #241 Anything Goes
Completely Christmas - #22 Anything Goes
Sister Act - #67 Anything Goes
Creative Fingers - #44 Anything Goes
CHNC Extra - July Anything Goes

Well that's another little Christmas card to pop in my box, it's got quite a few in it now. Pop over to the rest of the CCC ladies (page tab at the top of my blog) and check out what they have come up with this week and get some ideas and inspiration for your own Christmas cards - it's only 150 days away !!!
Thanks for dropping in and saying Hi,....enjoy your Sunday whatever you are up to.

Bye for now,

Docrafts Papermania 'Bellisima'

Hi Crafters,
Hope you are all well and enjoying a little bit of sunshine in your part of the world. Recently I have been trying to shake off a virus which is a persistent little beggar and just when you think you are feeling better it rears it's ugly head again and knocks me back. This is why I haven't been posting on my blog as frequently as I have in the past, I just haven't had the energy or enthusiasm to create much. However, I still have orders to complete so I have chosen to use the new die-cut decoupage sets from Docrafts to help me out with my mojo. This new range is called Bellisima and is very subtle in colour and great for these three Mother's Day cards that I had been asked for.
Sorry about the light in this photo but one minute the sun was out and the next it was cloudy so it is what it is.
Here they are individually-

All the layers are already die-cut for you so it's just a case of pushing them out of the backing sheet and layering them up, then I added some glamour dust on the decoupage and various parts of the card to make it sparkle. The backing papers came in the kit too but I used various dies from my stash to make the frames and sentiment labels. I'm loving this little corner die from 'La La Land Crafts' at the moment, it's very dainty and looked just right for these feminine cards.
I'm entering these in to the challenge at TTCRD - Anything Goes.

Enjoy your evening folks!

Just For You ~ Nephew

Hi Crafters,
A warm welcome to all my new and existing followers and a thank you for your lovely comments here on my blog.
I haven't posted for a week it seems and I just don't know where that week went, I've been in my craft room but, alas my crafty mojo has spread it's wings and flown South for the winter I think.  I have lots of cards to make and my order book is quite full but I just can't seem to get in to it right now so I rummaged through my draws and decided to take an easy option of using a decoupage kit and matching papers from Docrafts.

Card Recipe
Docrafts Wellington 6 x 6 paper pack
Docrafts Wellington Decoupage sheet
Docrafts Papermania Capsule Collection Polka Dot Mini Buttons

Doesn't he look so squeezy and cuddly. I like the muted tones on this card for my Nephew and I placed three Docrafts mini buttons in the corner for interest.
I have a few more male cards to make for February, I think I might use this set again, unless of course, Mr Mojo returns soon.
I'm entering this card in two challenges:
Scribble And Scrap - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

Hope you are all well, these wet dreary days can leave you feeling down, roll on Spring, PLEASE !

Bye for now
Lorraine
