I'm Back !

Phew, it's been a busy 2 weeks. I've been beavering away in my craft room almost non stop since my last post trying to finish everything on an ever increasing list of Christmas cards, commissioned cards, and a Christening album. The latter is what I would like to share with you today. The Christening was yesterday so I can safely show pictures now.
Just a warning, there are quite a few....
The front cover

The album was made from chipboard and all the pages were covered with papers from the 'First Edition - Up, Up & Away' 8 x 8  pad.
I used silk ribbon and heart buttons for the binding and the flair button came in a set from 36 Shades of Flair .

I did some fussy cutting and made a raised photo frame.

Inside front cover has a pocket and gift tag.
First page has a verse
Next page - I've fuzzed out the name and details
Space for a photo, it just tucks under at the corners
Space for photo and journaling
Page for Godparents
Page for family photo
Page for guests photo
more photo's and journaling
Name banner and more photo's
Verse and inside back cover and pocket
Back cover

I was really pleased with how this turned out, it's only the second mini album I have made and I learnt a lot from the first one which made this one a little easier.
Well I will be back tomorrow to share some of the Christmas cards that I have been creating and maybe enter them in a challenge or two.
TTFN,

Two Cards !

...I'm on a roll here.
Hi everyone, tonight I have two cards to share with you, completely different styles.
The first one was commissioned for a 1st Anniversary so I kept it classic and mostly white with  bronze and gold touches.
The background is using one of the new 8" x 8"  Die'sire Embossalicious folders called 'Rose Garden'. I like using these larger embossing folders because I usually make A5 size cards and these larger folders mean I don't have to make a join in the pattern. I also used some of my Spellbinders' dies to make the frame and the filigree border at the bottom. The leaves and swirls were Magnolia Doohickey and Marianne Creatables dies respectively. Hope you like it?

My other card tonight is a cute card that I made for my Great-Niece, she will be 3 soon -  as you can see from the speech bubble I created on my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. I watched a tutorial on You Tube from destamperjo , showing the process and it was quite easy.
The papers I used and the cute cat image came in a set which were free on a magazine, they are from the Wild Rose Studio - Milton & Co collection.

.... and finally, as you may have noticed, I've used another Flair Button from 36 Shades of Flair, I really love these embellishments, just right for this card.
Well bye for now...
..enjoy your weekend.

My First Christmas Card This Year.....

.....only 49 more to go :/
Hi everyone thanks for stopping by.
Thought I would start the new month with my first Christmas card as I have quite a few to make each year. It's quite hard though, creating Christmasy things when the sun is shining outside and it's in the very high twenties, but still it has to be done.
This little 'fella' is a Santa topper from The Range, the papers and ribbons are from my stash. I've managed to collect rather a lot of festive goodies over the years so I haven't had to buy any this time, hubbie will be pleased.

The cute little flair button in the corner is part of a set from 36 Shades of Flair . The owner, Kimberly had a giveaway on her Facebook page and I was the lucky winner! Take a look at all the other great buttons she has there and in her Etsy store, there's one for every occasion.
Well this won't do, I must get on, lots more cards to make and housework to do somewhere in between.
See you all later,

Happy Crafting
