Another 'Oldie'

Hi Crafters,

It's that time of the week again where I join Erika at Snappy Crafts and share an old crafty project just for fun.
You can join in too by posting anything crafty you have made in the past and leaving a comment on her blog so she can visit you back.

Here's my 'oldie' for today. It was created using an image and papers from an MCS CD-Rom.

The quality of the picture is a little blurred but you can see the design well enough. I glittered the edges of the layers after mounting them on to bronze pearlescent card stock to match the colours in the image. The rose trim had been in my stash for ages and so I added some pearls to each rose to mimic the string of pearls in the image too.

Well hope you enjoyed my card today, pop over to Erika's blog and take a peek at her post, it is always a great read.

I will be round to comment later, that's if blogger will allow. I have been suffering from gremlins, as have many of you when it comes to commenting lately. Out of the twenty blogs I visited this morning only two would allow me to post a comment, so we will see how that pans out this afternoon.

Hope you enjoy your Friday and have a fabulous weekend.

Flying High

Happy Valentine's Day ! Everyone.

Hi, hope you are all feeling some luurve today xxx. I have a birthday card though to share with you that I finished a couple of days ago.

Using my graphics programme ' My Craft Studio' I put together this male birthday card. A bit of fussy cutting and layering, a sentiment stamp and an aeroplane charm later - there was my card. I had to make it a quick one because so far this month I have made 20 cards for orders and I still have another 5 to get finished by the 20th February, phew :) I really love making them but it's been pretty hectic getting them all done.
I'm entering this in to these challenges:
A Creative Romance - Let's Get Sentimental
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

Enjoy your time with loved ones,
See you later,

Lorraine

Skylanders have landed!

Hi everyone,

Do you know what or who Skylanders are? No, neither did I. Not having young children anymore I have lost touch with lots of the TV programmes and children's characters of today, but I was asked to make a card by my friend whose grandson is mad about them so I had to do a little research. Eventually I found some copyright free images to use from the internet and this is how it turned out...

I thought I would try my hand at an easel card this time.

I'm not sure if you can see in this picture but I did some decoupage of the figures in the centre.
I made this panel into a pocket to hold some swap cards that I created from the characters. He is going to be seven years old so perhaps he will enjoy those. I raised up a border on 3d tape for the easel stopper and printed a verse. All the pictures and verse were created in the graphics program 'My Craft Studio', I use this nearly every time I make a card, it's so versatile. The 'Happy Birthday' are Britannia Dies and the name is made from silver peel-off lettering coloured green with a Dufex permanent marker.

Here is a view from a different angle, maybe you can see the 3d and the swap cards better.
And a close up...

When I was a child I think I might have been frightened of these creatures, they are a bit gruesome. I can remember watching Doctor Who from behind a cushion.

Well, it's getting dark here as I'm writing this post, I hate it when the evenings draw in, autumn is definitely on its way :(  So I will finish up now and hope to see you again soon.

21 Again !...

...I wish, lol.
My 21st Birthday has long since passed, but these two cards are going to be for my future Son-in-Law.  He's turning 21 soon and I was asked to make them by other family members, that's a total of four cards now that I have made for this birthday and I am rapidly running out of different ideas. They were both created entirely with the 'My Craft Studio' software and printed onto photo paper.

I have matted each layer on to black cardstock for definition and die cut the numbers with an MFT Die-namics die, then heated clear embossing powder to make them shine.
I hope he likes them.

Well I must go now, I have a hungry family waiting to be fed.

Happy Crafting
