New Home

Hi Crafters,

This post is being blown to you from a very windy Norfolk today.
I have a New Home card to share with you all today created using a rather lovely stamp from Inkylicious.

Recipe
Sentiment Stamp - Inkylicious - New Home
Black Embossing Powder
House Dies - CraftEmotions
Distress Inks

I began by inking some white card with a range of blue Distress Inks until I had the sky how I liked it. Then I stamped and heat embossed the large sentiment and added the house die cuts in a row popping the red one up on foam pads for a little definition.
A quick and easy make this time.

Altered Wooden Thermometer

Hi Crafters,

How are we all today? Good I hope and managing to get plenty of crafting done?

I have something different to share with you today...it's not a card this time.

I've been altering this wooden thermometer that I've had in my stash for quite a while as a gift for a friend and as she's received it now then I can share.

It's meant to hang on the wall but I had to prop it up for the photo here so the lace trim should be hanging down and not flat on the table.

I painted it first with acrylic paint and then covered most of that up :/ with wood grain paper. Then I stamped a 'Kanban' rose stamp and adhered lots of 'Wild Orchid Craft' flowers and leaves along one side. I used this gorgeous Guipure lace along the roof line with the marvellous dark brown tassel trimming on top and then a layer of pearl lace trim from 'The Ribbon Girl'. I then repeated this layering along the bottom too. It was created to match the recipients colours and décor in their room.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Not Just Cards - #25 ATG
Country View Crafts - Add Some Texture

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments recently, they are so uplifting and encouraging, thank you.
