Let's Go Fishing!

Hi Crafters,

I think the lovely weather we've been having here in the South has turned a corner, it's not looking as good for the next few days - I will enjoy the cooler nights though.

I've been making a series of hobby themed cards for my stall covering various pastimes.

Both cards are using a Woodware Stamp called Casting The Bait and I have added the Silhouette 'FISH' cut file using the positive and negative for a different look. The first card is quite a clean and simple design for me, the second has a bit more going on with some embossing and die cut grass borders.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
The Craft Barn - What Men Like To Do on a Bank Holiday
Addicted To Stamps - #130 Not a Square
Come & Get It - #133 Black, White + One Other Colour
OSAAT - #269 ATG + For Men
Cardz 4 Guyz - #135 Something Beginning with 'F'
Aud Sentiments - #163 ATG + Sentiment
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - #379 Embossing
Addicted To CAS - #95 Silhouette
Just Keep On Creating - September Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in today, I appreciate the time taken to read and comment here.
I will be back tomorrow with another Christmas Card Club post - yes, that's another two weeks gone by in a flash!
Oh and by the way - not to panic you at all but it's only 113 days to the Big Day!

A is for Angler

Hi Crafters,

I've been getting inky over the Easter weekend and this is what I've created using my Distress Inks and a variety of stamps.

Recipe
Distress Inks for the background
Versamark Onyx Black Ink foreground Stamping
Memento Green Inks
Woodware Angler Stamp and Sentiment
Various Sheena Douglas Stamps
Lavinia Stamps
Marianne Corner Die LR0143

I created the background by tearing a piece of paper and using the jagged edge with my inks for the mountains and water. The clouds were inked using another piece of card that I had cut to shape. Then it was just a case of over stamping the foliage and Angler image. I'm quite pleased at how this turned out.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Cardz 4 Guyz - #113 Something Beginning with 'A' (Angler)
Unicorn Challenge - #7 Clean & Simple
One Crazy Stamper - March ATG

A lovely day in Norfolk today, cool and windy but the sun is shining beautifully. It certainly makes me feel happier - plus I have managed to get three lines of washing dry and that somehow makes me even happier - sad house wife I guess :/

Hope you are having a great day too.

I've been busy in my craft room but I'm afraid they are all cards that I can't share with you yet. Both my daughters' have birthdays coming up soon and I have been making cards for them from various family members and of course they look at my blog so I will show them when it is safe to :)
Here is a card I can show though....

I got the idea for this card from none other than, wait for it......Pinterest. Where would we be without it? lol. The original card can be found here. Hope you like my version too.
