Masculine Birthday

Hi Crafters,
As you've heard me mention before I find male cards a bit difficult but since I discovered this great stamp from Impression Obsession - 'Map' I've had a light bulb moment and made quite a few cards. Some for birthdays and some for Father's Day, which won't be long - 15th June - the rate at which this year is flying by.
Here is the birthday one and I will share the Father's Day card tomorrow,

6 x 6 card blank
Map stamp - Impression Obsession
Ship stamp - Habico Vintage Transport
Paper twine - Tim Holtz
Wave die cut - La La Land
Label die cuts - MFT Die-namics - layered labels
Lighthouse charm from stash
Distress inks
Kraft cardstock
I inked the white cardstock with a mixture of Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks and then when dry I stamped the Map over the top and embossed it with black detail embossing powder. The wave die cut was inked with the same three colours to match and so were the labels layers. I then embossed the Ship stamp in exactly the same way as the map. Added two lengths of TH paper twine and a bronze charm from my stash which I mounted on to the circle mats.
Challenges:

TTCRD - Anything Goes
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes #228

Bye for now,

Christmas Card Club Challenge #9

Hi Crafters,
This time at the CCC the challenge was set by Karen to make a card using 'black & white with one other colour'. I had these reindeer die cuts in my stash and thought these would be perfect for the challenge. They are cut from black glitter card and I set them in front of some torn paper hills and a Marianne Designs fir tree horizon die cut. The starry night sky background was a piece from a Kanban foil embossed sheet which I've also had in my stash for a long time.

I also added a piece of sheer organza ribbon and two silver bells to add to the Christmas theme.
Please take a look at the other ladies creations on the team, their links are in the tab at the top of my blog.
Challenges:
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Completely Christmas - Anything Goes #9
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes #17

Winter Wonderland - No Sentiment

Enjoy your Sunday and I'm off to visit a few of you out there this morning and will be round again later trying to catch up with commenting.

You're One In A Minion

Hi Crafters,
No that's not a typo..he he, it's the caption on these cards I made for a family member who loves Minions and the film Despicable Me.
Here's the line-up....

These were all made using different sizes of  Stampin' Up circle punches and rectangles of card, don't they look cute, I love 'em.  I hand drew the 'boonana' after I had printed the caption on to the yellow card, cut it out and tucked it into the front pocket of his dungarees.

Aren't they a cheerful bunch?
Well that's it from me for now,
See you later,

Lorraine

There's a Theme

Hi Crafters,
Yes, there's a theme running through my posts recently don't you think?

There's that train again, lol. Well I should have enough baby cards made now for the upcoming craft fair so I had better move on to something else now.

See you soon,

A Little Boy's Birthday Card

Hi Crafters,
I'm finding it difficult to squeeze in the chance to blog at the moment. I have had the odd visit and comment on some of your blogs but life is rather hectic right now. I have been making cards, just not posting them here but I have one quick share with you tonight...

As you can see I'm still using those baby stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps. I like how this colourful card turned out, I wasn't too sure when I was making it to begin with.

Hope you all enjoyed your Easter break and I'll catch you all again soon,

Card-In-A Box ~ Baby Girl

Hi Crafters,
I couldn't make a Baby Boy card without following it up with a Baby Girl card now could I?
So this is it...

I used the same stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps for the baby items and then used their Sky's The Limit dies for the clouds and kite.
The papers were freebies from another magazine...
...and the bling, twine and heart button were from my stash.
Sorry about the photo's, I really don't know what's going on with my camera at the moment. It was never that brilliant to start with but it seems to be rather temperamental right now and is throwing a wobbly. These are the best I could get.
Will be round for a catch up with your blogs later,

See you soon.

Card-In-A-Box ~ Baby Boy

Hi Crafters, we've had such a lovely sunny day here, albeit a little chilly, I hope you've had the same.
I have seen so many Box Cards on the internet lately that I just had to give it a try so here is my  Baby Boy card in a box.

I used the lovely stamp and die sets from Clearly Besotted Stamps for the train and the baby items. The paper was from a magazine freebie and the heart shaped button and twine from my stash.
Here's a closer shot...

...a top view...

...and a side view...

The back has a blank panel to write your message and I stamped 'Bundle of Joy' on it but unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of that, my camera decided that there wasn't enough light at that point even though I hadn't changed anything from taking all the other photo's and it wouldn't focus properly, so I admitted defeat and called it a day. This card will fit inside a C5 envelope when folded flat so it's perfect for sending and surprisingly isn't that bulky.
Challenges I'd like to enter are:
Addicted To Stamps - Fancy Folds
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes
Country View Challenges - New Beginnings

Thanks for stopping by,

See you soon,

Christmas Card Club - Christmas Lights

~Hi Crafters~

It's that time again folks where our friendly bunch of ladies at the Christmas Card Club share a card they have made around the theme set. This time it was Asha's turn to choose and she came up with a great theme of 'Christmas Lights'. Now I knew exactly what I was going to do when I heard this because I have been sitting on a pack of embellishments just waiting for the right occasion to use them - a set of coloured Christmas tree light beads. Here is my card.

Aren't they cute!
I cut the tree shape with my Silhouette Cameo and then covered it with fronds made with a Martha Stewart punch, added some green tinsel string and the light beads, cut a trunk and embossed it with a wood grain embossing folder. I used a torn piece of glitter card for the snowy ground and can you see those gorgeous little snow balls? I won a mixed pack of these in a blog candy from Bumblebee Creations and they arrived just in time from America for me to combine them in this card.
I will be entering this card into some challenges which I will edit later today, Sunday is rather busy for me, visiting family and catching up with housework so I will be back later to add these.

Easter Cards

Hi Crafters,
I've been busy today mass producing some simple Easter cards and thought I would share them with you.

The Easter word in the frame was cut using my Silhouette Cameo then I used lots of glitter and a flourish stamp for the detailed edges. I struggled a little with the Silhouette program today because it had updated and had a different look to the screen and features. I'd only just managed to get a partial grasp of where most of the tools were and what they did on the last version, so it took a bit of figuring out and playing around but I got there in the end. I'm the kind of person that likes things to stay the same but I guess that's unlikely in todays world eh?
Hope you all enjoyed the Sun today it was gorgeous here in my part of Norfolk.

See you soon,

Wedding Anniversary Cards

Hi Crafters, hope you've had a lovely day.
Spring is here and lots of people organise their weddings for this time of year, that would explain why I've had lots of requests to make Wedding Anniversary cards too. Here are three that I made recently.....

The first one is an 8 x 8 card blank with gold satin cardstock and Centura Pearl in lemon which I embossed with two different Crafters Companion Embossalicious folders. I used a Martha Stewart Punch-around-the-page punch, Spellbinders Floral Ovals die and a La La Land corner die. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon was from my stash.
The second card uses a new Memory Box Die - Diamond Background, the Floral Ovals die again and Sue Wilsons Filigree 3D Bow die. I then placed WOC pearls at the cross points of the background.
Lastly this card was made entirely from the layers of the Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 die using pearlescent cardstock in white and blue and then I inked through the die with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. A satin bow and a faceted brad to finish.
Hope you like my offering tonight.
I'd like to enter in to the following challenges:
Scribble & Scrap - Anything Goes #15
TTCRD - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and looking in, I really appreciate your comments.

Crafters Companion - Angelica and Adam Cards

Hi Crafters,
Where did this week go? I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by lately, it's been a whole week since I blogged last, naughty girl. I haven't been idle though it's just that I can't share some of the cards that I have made yet. I can however share this batch of Angelica and Adam themed cards that I have been making for an upcoming sale that I am attending.

These were made by printing the elements from the CD Rom and adding a few of my own embellishments. I still have a lot more items to make for the sale so that will keep me busy over the next few weeks.
Hope you liked my quick share today, I have tried to visit as many blogs as I could this week but I apologise if I've missed anyone out I will endeavour to catch up with you all soon.

See you soon,
Lorraine
