Christmas Card Club - Christmas Lights

~Hi Crafters~

It's that time again folks where our friendly bunch of ladies at the Christmas Card Club share a card they have made around the theme set. This time it was Asha's turn to choose and she came up with a great theme of 'Christmas Lights'. Now I knew exactly what I was going to do when I heard this because I have been sitting on a pack of embellishments just waiting for the right occasion to use them - a set of coloured Christmas tree light beads. Here is my card.

Aren't they cute!
I cut the tree shape with my Silhouette Cameo and then covered it with fronds made with a Martha Stewart punch, added some green tinsel string and the light beads, cut a trunk and embossed it with a wood grain embossing folder. I used a torn piece of glitter card for the snowy ground and can you see those gorgeous little snow balls? I won a mixed pack of these in a blog candy from Bumblebee Creations and they arrived just in time from America for me to combine them in this card.
I will be entering this card into some challenges which I will edit later today, Sunday is rather busy for me, visiting family and catching up with housework so I will be back later to add these.

  19. My gracious, so much texture & beautifulness on this card, Lorraine. Love the way you used the MS punch for the tree branches, and those lights are stunning tucked away in the tree. The snowballs added more dimension and the edge punch was great on this card. Lots of details to enjoy on this delightful Christmas card. It really did fit the Lights theme perfectly. TFS & Hugs
