ABC Christmas Challenge - W is for Wishes

Hi Crafters,

We're almost at the end of the alphabet with our challenge at ABC Christmas.
Today it is the turn of the letter 'W' for Wishes.
Christmas Wishes of course.

Recipe
Stamped Background - Inky Doodles
Coloured with Promarkers and then Glossy Accents added
Sentiment Stamp - Christmas Peace
Antique Linen & Evergreen Bough Distress Ink for edges
Ribbon

This was a quick and simple card but I hope you'll agree, quite bold and effective.
It is a little smaller than I would normally make being only A6 in size.

  2. Hi Rainey, yes the dies are from E-Bay. I just put 'cutting dies from China' in the search bar, and you will see loads. I've bought quite a few now, often for literally pennies, and they have all cut with no difficulty. Actually, thats not strictly true, I bought one 6" square Snowflake background die that I've had to shim a lot to get the middle to cut, BUT, it's a large intricate die, and I've had to shim much more expensive intricate dies in the past. I think it actually says more about uneven pressure from the machine than the die, to be honest, as I always find the centre of my BS Pro cuts less well than the outer edges.
Lovely Christmas card, the sentiment makes a great focal point, andwould work on many different backgrounds. Hugs, Shaz xx

  16. Now that is a fab Christmas card design because it may have been quick and simple to make but it looks sooooo effective and luxurious because of the little details like the Glossy Accents, sparkly edge to the sentiment and the sweet ribbon. That sentiment is lovely too...that's what Christmas is all about I think :-)
    Big hugs, Kat xx
