oOo

Thanks for visiting today. I have been a really bad blogger of late and not managed to get much commenting done. I have been looking after my poor Mum who is waiting for a hip replacement operation and is finding it extremely difficult to get around her home, so I have tried to split myself between my family and Mum. We spent Saturday putting a bed downstairs for her and I fully intended catching up with you all throughout the week but yesterday I received a phone call from the hospital offering me a cancellation for MY op for my wisdom teeth which was scheduled for the end of the month. Thinking it was best for me to get this over with so I will be able to see to Mum without the two ops coinciding I decided to go ahead with it. So as you read this I will be on my way down to theatre, please wish me luck!

Bye for now,

Lorraine

  3. What a fab card, I'm thinking that kitty better be careful or he'll be face first in the bowl lol! Love wink of stella, sooooo hard to get it to show up well (or at all!) in photographs.
I totally understand where you are coming from in time to comment department, I'm often behind, what with work and family. It is hard when a parent is poorly. My Dad's health has not been right since he had his mini strokes and he suffers from vascular dementia and glaucoma etc and it's my poor Mum looking after him (she's 80 this year!) mostly as they are so far away I'm limited in the support I can offer. I do with they were closer by.

Will be thinking of you today and hoping the op goes well, I had my 2 top wisdom teeth taken out many years ago and they wanted to get the bottom ones, which are impacted, but that meant a hospital trip and with a baby under a year at the time, that was not going to happen. Thankfully as I've gotten older they have settled down, but there were many times I wished I'd had them out then! xx

  6. Hi Lorraine, gosh you've a lot going on have'nt you. Well, commenting is not as important as your mum and your own health, and we will still all be here when things get easier for you. Alistair has his hip replaced about 5 years ago and has never looked back and he is even more active than before. Good to get you op out of the way and I hope it all goes well for you.

Guess what I've forgotten what your cards like, I'll have to go and have another look, can't hold anythng in my memery these days, Kate x

  21. Lorraine, I am sending lots of love and hugs your way. I hope you feel better quickly and that your mom recovers quickly. I was away from blogging for a few months when my mom had hers done, as she needed me 24/7 for quite some time. Never apologize for a lack of commenting.. everyone has such busy lives. Commenting is often a luxury, unfortunately.
As for your card, it is gorgeous! I cannot believe how well you captured the wink of stella. The image is amazing and I always love you card designs and color palettes. Beautifully done, my friend.

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen
