Hi Crafters,
This week is flying by and it's already time for our new challenge at As You Like It.
We want to see your favourite card shape or fold.
To qualify for the prize we need you to tell us in your post the reason WHY it is your favourite.
Now, although I usually make square cards because my customers ask for them, my favourite card fold is this.....
Tri-Fold Shutter Card
I really like this shape because it gives you so many panels on which to add your embellishments and decorate to your hearts content. This one however, I have kept rather plain as I am wanting to post it. If you decorate all the panels it can be rather chunky by the time you have finished.

Love this shape, as you can get away with CAS and it still looks brilliant. Gorgeous card and pretty paper. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteThis fold is always impressive to me, because of the way the folds have to be cut, for the base layer, then again for the trimming papers. It's also beautiful for the lovely papers you've used, and the wonderful script of the sentiment. So very pretty. I've never even attempted one of these folds! TFS
ReplyDeletestunning card Lorraine. I must try one of these it looks amazing. Zx
ReplyDeleteLove the fold I remember making one but never made any more-love the paper

I absolutely love folded designs and although the criss cross is my fave, this one is another fave of mine...not that I have made it often! As you say, it gives lots of space to decorate if you wish, but the fold is so special that it looks great with a few well chosen details and pretty papers...like your design! The pink and white looks so stunning with the black borders :-)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, Kat xx
Fabulous shape so much to see and love the depth too! hugs me x
