I hope your Christmas preparations are coming along nicely, it won't be long and today I have my ABC Christmas Challenge DT project to share with you.
I decided to make a 4"x 4" Exploding Christmas Gift Box
...and here it is 'exploded!'

The tree ornament in the centre was made by cutting the Britannia Tree die five times and folding each one down the centre and gluing them all together in to a 3D tree.

What a fab exploding box, Lorraine! Love the little Christmas tree inside! Gorgeous papers and beautifully made - not made one of these for ages...they were all the rage a couple of years ago and then they seemed to just go out of fashion. ReplyDeleteOh wow, this looks amazing! Great on the outside with the gorgeous red snowflake on the tag...and then you open it and bam...you're greeted with beauty. The filigree tree looks awesome, along with your decorated panels. I've never made one of these but you're tempting me to give it a go! :) xx

I'm lost for words! That is utterly stunning! Gorgeous traditional colours, exquisite detailing and the tree centrepiece is brilliant :-) I agree that this is such a special style of 'card' to make; so beautiful outside and in.
