Hi Crafters,
I have another 'Steampunkesque' card to share with you today. I have played with my alcohol inks and Spellbinders embossing folder for the background together with a few more X-Cut cog dies. These were heat embossed with black EP to look like metal. I then decided to add little red gems to the centres like you see inside a watch...
The background was a mixture of Adirondak Inks in Espresso, Rust and Gold and topped off on the raised embossed parts with black Memento Ink to define them.
The Happy Birthday die is a Memory Box one and it had the same treatment as the cogs. I backed it with gold card to show through the letters. A little matting and layering and it was complete.
Challenges I'd like to enter:
Crafting From The Heart - #77 ATG
Frilly & Funkie - Stamps Be Gone (Vintage, no stamps)
A quick post as it's a busy day ahead for me, so I will say goodbye for now and see you soon.
Lorraine
What a lovely rich and sumptuous feel to your card today Lorraine. Ages since I used my alcohol inks so thanks for the reminder. Think we all have things lurking in the back of drawers that we forget about as new things come along and it's nice to revisit.
