Christmas Card Club Challenge #5 Poinsettia - Any colour you like.

Hi Crafters,
Can you believe it is the 1st March already?! well it is and it's also another Christmas Challenge at the CCC. This time it was Margaret's turn to choose the theme and she has come up with a lovely challenge of 'Poinsettia' in any colour you like. I decided on cream and gold for my theme and here it is...

Recipe
Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Die
Crafters Companion Christmas Village Die
Dew Drop Brilliance Ink - Galaxy Gold
Brittania Dies - 'Merry Christmas'
Joanna Sheen's Ivy Flourish Die
Glitter Card
Gold Mirri
Gems

This was a very simple card to put together, once the Christmas Village was cut, embossed and inked it was just a case of layering it on to the glitter card and mirri card. Then layering up the poinsettia in the top corner, job done! Hope you like my festive offering today? Do check out the other ladies blogs (list in tab at top of page) for their gorgeous makes too, I read somewhere the other day that it was only 42 weeks to Christmas so we had better crack on with the card making :)

  15. OOOHHH! The glamour of the gold & cream on this stunner! Love the village scene and it's just sparkling with the golden shine- Love the way you've used the gorgeous poinsettias tucked up in the corner of the wonderful village scene. Best use I think I've seen of this village die. TFS & Happy Sunday.

  16. A fantastic card, you really have brought together all the elements - proportionately - which don't always work between different dies. They all have to seat right with one another & I like the way you have done it.

  23. Oh my word, Lorraine! Can't believe you're doing Christmas already?! I have promised myself and actually managed to stick to (well, for now anyway!) handmaking a lot of my presents for this Xmas throughout the year, but the thought of making something Christmassy...I want Spring and sunshine and WARMTH!
Your card is still fab though and I love the monotone scheme! Hugs, Lisa x
