Hope you all had a wonderful New Year and didn't over indulge too much.
The new year is in full swing now and we have started our bi-weekly Christmas card challenge again and this time it was Carol's turn to choose our theme of CAS in Red, Green and White.
Now I have mentioned before how difficult I find CAS cards and this one filled me with dread but looking back at some last minute Christmas cards that I had made and not had the chance to blog yet, I found this one...
Recipe
Penny Black - Christmas Hat Cat Stamp
Promarkers
MFT Vertical Stitched Strips Die
Britannia Dies - Merry Christmas
I was attempting to create some flat cards for posting when I came up with this design and I think this counts as CAS, well as CAS as I can manage anyway :)

I know we have just gotten over Christmas and it seems a bit soon to be making Christmas cards again but making them all year round really helped me last year to have enough cards at the ready when I needed them and not be in the last minute panic as I have been other years. Maybe you'd like to give it a go too?
See you soon,
Lorraine
What a striking card Lorainne. Like you I was not looking forward to this one, but never one to back out of a challenge I managed it too. Enjoy your Day. Hugs Rita xxx

ReplyDeleteLorraine, I don't feel that I do CAS well, either, but this was a fun challenge to do, with some wonderful colors (I like traditional - always!). Looks to me as though you did a fabulous job, and that is an adorable image. Loved that bright stripe dp background, and you did a terrific job with CAS! Hope your Sunday is great and that your New Year was also. TFS & Hugs

ReplyDeleteYou've made a fabulous card Lorraine...just love that image, it's so cute. It's funny how different genres flummox us all, sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zones for a while...I used to be just as terrified of CAS!
