Christmas Card Club Challenge # 24 - Tea Bag Folding/ Origami

Hi Crafters,
This is a day early but I have a DT post tomorrow and I'd rather do a separate post.
It's time for another meeting of our Christmas Card Club and this time it was Karen's turn to choose a theme.... and she picked a challenging one for me - Tea Bag Folding. I have never attempted it so after much 'Googling' (new verb, lol) I found some tutorials on the types of folds I needed to do in order to make my card. So here it is...

I think this is quite a basic fold that I used for the Christmas tree, there were a lot of examples on the net to choose from and the star frame was made up from 14 separate tea bag squares folded and glued together to make the frame size that I wanted. My sentiment was a blog freebie and I changed the colour in 'My Craft Studio'. The tea bag papers were also free downloads and once I got the hang of the folds it didn't take too long at all. I was going to tea bag fold the star on top of the tree but that proved too fiddly so I punched it out with a small X-Cut punch.
Hope you like my little folded tree card, I'd like to enter it in to the following challenges:
Bearly Mine Challenge - Christmas Cards
Crafty Calendar Challenge - It's All About Christmas
CHNC Patterned Paper Challenge - November Challenge
Scribble & Scrap - #31 ATG
TTCRD - ATG
Diva's By Design - Photo Inspiration
Crafty Catz - #255 Christmas is Coming
Brown Sugar - ATG

Do pop over to the other blogs in our group tomorrow, I'm sure there will be some interesting makes this time. Thanks Karen for a challenge that pushed my boundaries and made me try something new.
It's less than 6 weeks to THE big day and I still have lots of cards to make, hope you are managing to keep ahead of things though.
See you all again tomorrow for my 613 Avenue Create DT post.

I chickened out for this challenge, as I've never done the folding either. Love the look of your card. The tree is fabulous, but that outside circle is so complex.
