As You Like It Challenge #72 - One Layer or Multiple Layers and WHY

Hi Crafters,

Hello and welcome, it's lovely to have you visit me today.

I'm sharing my DT card for the challenge at As You Like It today where we would love to see your creations using your favourite one layer or multiple layer styles.
You must remember to tell us WHY you have chosen this particular style please.

I much prefer, and also find it easier to create a project with multiple layers because I like to have a variety of embellishments, colours and textures on my cards. A clean and simple design is a very daunting prospect for me as I find it difficult to walk away after one layer, lol.
Here is my card...

Recipe
Image - found on the Internet
Papers - Fizzy Moon with Love - Mr & Mrs Paper Pad
Word Die Cuts - Britannia Dies
Corner Die Cut (underneath background) - Marianne Designs LR0281
Corner Die Cut (on image) - Joy Crafts 6002/0172
Glitter
Satin Ribbon
Pearls

Challenges I'd like to enter:
Crafty Girlz - #11 ATG
Craft-Dee Bowz - ATG + Bow
OSAAT - #254 Tic Tac Toe (3 or more layers, Lots of blue, Pearls)
Crafty Cardmakers - #156 - Punches and/or Dies

Our sponsor this time is

who are offering a £10 gift voucher to the winner.

Please pop over to the challenge blog for some more inspiration from the rest of the design team.

See you soon,

Lorraine
xXx

Pretty colours and image Lorraine, but it's your use of dies that really caught my eye, so effective how you have them peeking out of the corners.

Lorraine, you'd be fine doing CAS, I now find it very difficult to go the other way and layer up as I have got so used to a minimal approach. It would be very boring if we were all the same.
A beautiful wedding card, great colour combo and image.

Hugs Erika. x

Lorraine, you create with layers so beautifully. Layers upon layers of inspiration in every project. The image here is so pretty and I love the corner detailing. The papers are perfect for the theme, filled with sweetness and elegance. Gorgeous work, my friend. Also, I must tell you something. I am unsure how my blogger presence will be for the next tiny bit. Just as things began to calm this week, my sister received a very scary diagnosis. I have taken off this week's DT work and of course my amazing leaders have said to take as long as I'd like to take care of things, but I may try to stay involved so my heart can have the joy that is leaving bloggie love and crafting... despite how hard it feels to make anything. So, if I disappear or do not get here often, I wanted you to know why. Have a wonderful night. :o)

Hugs and blessings,
Karen

Such a beautiful and elegant wedding card. I love the shading on the die cuts. I agree that generally (I find) it's easier to work with multiple layers than a one layer card. Even my (very few) CAS cards will have a couple of layers at least :) xx

A really beautiful card Lorraine. You do this so naturally, I do wish I did too lol! Thank you for letting me know what the challenge is, I think I'm too tired or possibly doped because of some new medication, so I am struggling more than I should. Thank you huni Karen x
