Christmas Card Club Challenge #9 - Stars

Hi Crafters,
Hope you are all having a great weekend.
Thank you to all my visitors here recently for the lovely comments left, I really do appreciate you popping in and saying Hi!

So on to why I am here today...  ...two weeks have whizzed by again and it is time for another Christmas card challenge with my bunch of crafty friends. This time it was Valerie's turn to choose a theme and here is my card for the 'Stars' theme.

Recipe
Embossed Cardstock - Limetree Crafts
Merry Christmas Die - Joycrafts
Mirri card
X-Cut Star Die
Silver Christmas paper - Anita's Classic Christmas Papers
Bows - Scribble & Scrap Store (now closed)

Gosh, white and silver cards are very difficult to photograph, the glare from the mirri card was a tricky one to overcome but this is the best I could do.
It was quite a simple card really, just matting and layering the beautiful star embossed card on to the mirri and cutting out the stars and sentiment die in mirri also. Then I cut the same size stars from the silver Christmas papers and scored them at each point so I could fold and make them dimensional. Then I adhered them to the mirri stars. A piece of silver cord and a bow to finish.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
ABC Christmas Challenge - H is for Happy Holiday
Brown Sugar - #143 ATG
Sister Act - #103 ATG

Well that's another one for the box, it's filling up quickly and I'm confident that I will have enough Christmas cards made now to alleviate the frantic making session I had a couple of years ago when December crept up and bit me before I knew it. If you want to join in with our friendly challenge each fortnight just get in touch with Margaret who will tell you the ropes.
I hope you enjoy your Sunday, I am going to a Christening today so I will be round to comment later in the day.
Bye for now,

Lorraine

Wow, wow, wow! Lorraine that is one stunning card. Love your stars - they are so dimensional! This is perfect for the challenge too.
On another note I haven't forgotten you hun - I have an envelope ready to post the next time one of us goes out, I've just not been up to getting out of the house much and after the last trip for a hospital appointment we had to come straight back home as I was in too much pain - so I will get them to you soon Karen x

Lorraine, this is so pretty, with the stars embossing, the silver stars and the total design of this Stars Challenge theme. I had to smile at your 'it's just a simple card' comment. Mine was a very simple one as well, but I had so much trouble, and finally just said "it is what it is!". I am loving this one! TFS & Hugs
